President Joe Biden - Kamala Harris Administration

Wut? A comment like that means you're just defending your side and are not concerned with Joe's ethics or lack thereof. That's a bad look coming right after you praise him for doing 'the right thing'.
I will try to state it as clearly as possible; what Biden said was no big deal, the big deal is that is was heard on a hot mic. He immediately called the guy and discussed it. I'm sure they had a good chuckle. The guy seems pleased with Biden's call.
THAT IS THE BIG DIFFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is a quote from an article I linked earlier.....it's a pretty good summary of my take:

That Biden called a reporter a "stupid son of a bitch" is regrettable. That he called to apologize for it is commendable.
Don't disregard the fact that we now have a president, again, who operates under the normal rules of decorum and politeness. When a president does the right thing, it trickles down to the rest of society. And, as we saw over the past 4 years, the opposite is also true.

If it merits an apology from the president then it's a fairly big deal. But my comment was more about saying that it's fine that he only apologized because he got caught, especially after praising him for being such a swell guy. Doing the right thing would have been not insulting the guy in the first place. His call to the reporter and their subsequent chuckles don't really have anything to do with that.

You mean like the CDC lying to us and telling us that cloth masks and surgical masks were effective at fighting COVID, giving millions of people a false sense of security? That's is dangerous misinformation if I have ever heard it. Of a lot of people with common sense already knew that we had 30 years of data to prove they weren't effective against viruses, but many also bought the lie.
If the CDC was on Spotify then maybe Neil would have asked to be removed because of them too. But that's neither left nor right and it doesn't relate to tyranny.

It has everything in the world to do with it. It is the one overriding issue here.
Guys call me names constantly in the PF. It's okay. I expect it. I would be worried if they didn't. I usually get a chuckle out of it. It is absolutely no big deal. It's part of being in the PF game.
If however, they said some of those things in front of my mom or my kids or in a crowd at a UT football game. It would be different. There is a time and a place and a context for things.
It's called "normal rules of decorum and politeness". They are important and make for a far more civil society.
That is the very thing that Trump intentionally and successfully tried to destroy. Most long for a return.

We have different views on decorum and politeness norms. Calling someone a stupid SOB is in my view far outside those norms. To rationalize the insult while saying Biden abides by those norms doesn't make sense. Faulting Trump for hostility to the press while excusing Biden for the same is just partisan.

I could give a crap less about that. It's policy, not personality that counts in the end. If personality had anything to do with being a great president then Carter would have been awesome.

And how do you view the people in the PF who call other posters names?

Carter was awesome. You have it backwards. Not giving a crap about any of that is what has led us to this point.
But it is obvious that Trumpers do not see it that way. That was always the known danger of Trumpism and why so many were against him from the beginning; they knew where incivility led.

Carter was awesome? What in the world are you talking about? Man you are twisted. You have a big time distorted sense of reality.

Neither does Rogan
Only in the truly simple-minded is someone whose entire goal is asking questions, getting to the truth, and advocating for freedom for people decide considered "tyrannical".

If they left doesn't start to back off, they'll learn what tyranny really is when the majority of the country claps back against the insanity.

It is worrisome that he is a teacher with some of his views on history, just wait until interest rates are increased under Ol' Joe, he will be dreaming of Jimmy Carter

Carter was awesome.
How old are you?

Wait, I thought the coordination of state power with corporate interests was the very definition of “fascism”? So tell me again which party is home to “fascists”?

Reality about EVs is setting in. Due to distances covered and "refills", EVs aren't looking so popular in the US. Too bad when people promote them they aren't honest enough to admit they aren't pollution free - the pollution source is just moved from your tail pipe to another point. There's going to be some real head scratching in a few years if/when industry comes back to the US and especially if EVs do become a significant portion of the cars on the road because the power grid isn't going to be up to it without fossil fuels. We are way into plant life extension on almost all of nuclear power, and there are virtually no replacements in sight. The other big issue is that solar can put out significant amounts or power, but there's no real storage scheme. That's extremely disruptive without NG for peaking when solar is offline - nuclear and other large plants are good for baseload - not so much for peaking, and idle power plants of any kind are expensive. People are gonna love it when that "free" solar power drives up electric rates.

And the pollution is absolutely brutal where the necessary elements for EV batteries are mined.

Cover your eyes and hum, liberals- as long as you can't see it it's "clean", just like those reusable bags you love!

How come Congress and the media doesn't ask such obvious questions? Just like REM. What about multifamily housing? They gonna put 230V outlets in parking lots and out front of the project housing?
Hell,,,we gonna have to unchord our clothes dryers to charge the EV? Being somewhat facetious, but every home will need a 230V breaker on their panel for such.
