He could have phrased the question much better. "with inflation impacting the lower and middle classes what's your plan to help, how do you think it will impact the mid-terms". Reporters need to stop with the "gotcha" and softball/protection questions, ask real pertinent questions and when the politician tap dances around the answer hammer them. Don't let them off the hook with some BS answer but ask good questions.
The WH staff were rudely pushing people out the door so Doocy, wearing a mask as required, had to yell him the question where it might have come out as dumb.
And that's another thing, why in the hell is the WH press corp allowing themselves to be treated that way? They are stupid SOBs for not hammering this administration every minute of every day over it's lack of transparency.
Look, I have zero problems with Doocy asking the question, could have been phrased much better and I have no problem with Biden calling him a stupid SOB. Doocy should now use his position to ask some real hard hitting questions about policy and call them out for every tap dance they do.
That's insane. He was apologizing for saying it where it could be heard with a hot mic. Every president in history has thought most reporters were stupid or asked stupid questions and most reporters in history have thought presidents were stupid or gave stupid answers. They all know that....they also know that some thoughts and comments are not intended to be voiced aloud. That is why I don't have respect for Biden. He said it, he meant it so he should own it. Don't apologize when your right and in this case Biden was right.

There are a lot of people I do not like who I would never call horrendously despicable humans. That distinction is reserved for a very select few.Biden is horrendous & the most despicable human being to the whole human race.
Does that sound familiar to you in your attacks against someone you don't like?
Biden doesn't want to answer hard questions. He'll just walk off the stage & call a lid for the day. His press core lead lady, Jenn Psaki, just reads the mis-information off the pages in her folder when she meets w/the press. With this admin .... it's like getting blood out of a turnip.

You and your wife made comments that were true about your kids that were not intended for them to hear. Had they overheard one of those comments, I would assume you would apologize, not for the comment but for not being more careful while making the comment.
another suggestion:
Mr President, inflation is hitting americans hard. No recent administration has done anything to stop printing money and pushing it into our economy. What is your plan to be the first president to address inflation by addressing the elements the government can control, and how does that approach effect the upcoming midterms?
And the press needs to hammer them daily for it. Hell the should refuse to show up in protest until they start answering questions.
lol..........You're not apologizing for what you said. You are apologizing for saying something that wasn't intended to be heard in a way where it was heard.Hell no I wouldn't have apologized, I would have explained to my kids why I said what I said.
When you say what you mean own it and don't apologize. Don't say **** you don't want people to hear.
I agree. But, I'm sure there are some in that press core room who are more than likely afraid of backlash if they press the hard questions forward & that they will be labeled as a bully towards Biden or even being labeled as a Trump supporter & racist.
lol..........You're not apologizing for what you said. You are apologizing for saying something that wasn't intended to be heard in a way where it was heard.
You made the mistake - you are apologizing for that mistake.
It's not a difficult concept.
Why? Do you like inflation? In fairness that was a stupid question
That's just bs.I learned long ago not to open my mouth if I don't mean to be heard. If what I say is wrong I would apologize for being wrong. It's not a mistake to say what you mean, you might take heat from it but that's just life.
