Just knocked on the door of a homeowner named… and I kid you not…

Reminds reminds me of a story early on in my sales career. Another associate and I went to meet this business owner. It was some sort of nonprofit working with children. It was a hot summer day and all the kids were on their way to a swimming pool apparently. Because when I asked the secretary where the woman was that we were suppose to meet she said, “she’s dropping the kids off at the pool.”

It took everything we had to not laugh uncontrollably like little kids. We held it in for a little bit and had to excuse ourselves outside while we waited. That was a really good laugh. Thanks for reminding me of that story, Nick!

The thing that bothers me with adding transfer ranking….. they should deduct rankings from the guys you lose.
Think that's why the Team Talent Composite ultimately exists. It accounts for all movement.

I mean they've never deducted classes for going leaving for the NFL or leaving/transferring, so don't see that starting.

Assuming they're goal will always be to rank your incoming class (I just don't see them going that far to include all outgoing guys) then the combined ranking is the best there is. Basically the new default. Though a "Composite Overall" ranking would be the best in theory. But others would need to add that feature first...doubt ESPN ever will.

You guys are focused on HOW the game got to OT, not what happened when the game got to OT.

It's true, both defenses had their shot to do their jobs to stop it from getting to OT.

Once it got to OT, none of what happened leading up to that point matters. The refs say they are starting a new game. They flip a coin, which implies 50/50 odds. Should be fair, right?

Except in this era of football, where the offense has a far greater advantage, it's not 50/50. That's why the crowd and the Chiefs went crazy like they got a turnover when they won the coin toss. Everyone knew whoever won the toss had a monster advantage.

That's not how it should work.
They could always just do the coin flip and the winner of the coin flip wins the game. That's a true 50/50 :cool::cool:

Anyone here have UT Chem professor Dr. Adcock? He was a transvestite. Really.
I had Kleinfelter. TV class back in '83-'84 . Rumor was that he invented teflon.

He didn't.

There were a couple of hot TAs, though. One who went braless for our Thursday discussion sessions. Was worth getting up early for.

All right, sorry, overshare. Out for now.

I hate the NFL’s OT rules just as much as everybody. But that was not the cause of the Bills’ loss. They should have never gotten to OT.

Tony Romo, the best commentator in the business, made a statement during the game. With 13 seconds and the Bills having taken the lead, Romo called for the kickoff to stay in the field of play where the Chiefs would have to field the kick. This would run valuable seconds off the clock. There would have been no way KC could have run 2 plays and kick the tying FG.

The decision to kick it into the end zone turned out to be a costly one. Chiefs go the ball at the 25 and 2 plays later………

This one was on the Bills coaching staff….not to mention their poor defensive scheme for those 13 seconds.

Post game, Boomer Esiason even credited Romo for the insight.

I heard that , but that's assuming they try to return it. A Chiefs player could have stopped the squib kick at say the 30 and immediately fell on it.
