So you don’t think there are people that believe they have life-long immunity after they had Covid? This is the epitome of the problem with our health care experts. Dr Jha has positioned himself at the forefront of the pandemic. And when he tweets something like this, it only entrenches people, from both “sides.” Its meant to encourage inflammatory responses. And it tells me he has no interest in discussion, just obedience.
Okay, I'm ready to scrum with you on the teacher pay and benefit scale. Students are required to receive 180 days of school instruction a year, that is 1440 hours a year, add in another month worth of time for extra days, grading papers etc and you at 1600 hours a year. Normal worker bee's are required to work 40/week for a total of 2080 hours a year and for the most part benefits are less and salary might be a little better. Now explain to me how teachers are underpaid when you add in hours worked, salary and benefits paid.Yes. Time was added to the school day in the 1990s in order to bank up to fifteen inclement condition days per year. In years when there are no snow or flu days, teachers have fifteen extra student contact days above the amount required by the state.
Teachers are not paid for holidays or breaks. A school system may provide the service of normalizing paychecks so that they receive payment during these uncompensated periods by lowering the amount received during the contract period.

I know, hide, play the game.
I missed the effort by them to say “we’ll teach” no matter how many are out. We will get creative and make it happen. Oh that’s right that would never happen. They are public school teachers.
What are the state rules regarding number of credentialed adults required per student present during the school day?
You are saying that you would prefer school systems violate Tennessee Code Annotated and recommendations from the State Department of Education and system legal counsel and risk court action.
Damn straight and unlike you when you were in school I haven't taken a day off during this "pandemic". I've worked my butt off to make sure the dumb decisions by the state and local school boards affect the students as little as possible. I hope you aren't a parent because if you are I know for a fact that your kids would be one of the little pos that are constantly disrupting class because their parents are too busy to teach them how to act in a public settingAwww…a teacher.
I’d prefer they teach. Get it going online, consolidate classes in school, quit being incompetent adults.
That work for you?
