Until tonight, I think UGA always risked their recruiting run slowing down somewhat if they didn't make it to the top.

They have now, so their dominance is probably embedded. They'll win another title within a couple of years and most likely own the conference once Saban retires. They won this title with just some dude at QB as well.

Yeah. The naysayers would've been out in full force and questions would've been out there about Kirby. Not anymore though
 
He can't, but he just took a huge step towards their program's momentum becoming embedded and him being able to recruit on pure inertia, like Saban has for years now.
I really think he was already there. Even if he wasn't, the state is so loaded with talent that he can basically just wear the logo and get a top 10 class.

But some of the elite players he still had to make an effort to recruit, particularly if Alabama also wanted them, when Saban flashed all the rings. Now you can't really doubt that Kirby can win a title anymore.
 
Alabama just threw it 57 times in a national championship game. Can't believe Nick likes that gameplan.
