A player quits mid game, took off his gear and tossed it in the stands and walked tf out of the stadium AND THEN accused his coach of making him lace it up on a bum ankle and you think it’s not a big deal lol? AB is more than the 3rd best WR on the team, he is a Hall of Fame talent… so it’s gonna be discussed

Let me clarify.

It shouldn’t be the lead story on a Friday.

And yes he’s a talent but he’s not better than Godwin (yes he’s hurt) and Evans at this point in their careers.

I just hate that it happened really, I mean some say it’s just an example of the chickens coming home to roost after they signed him despite years of disgusting behavior, but I am not one of those

What should be the lead story? Yeah, AB is an idiot, but that story is going to attract eyeballs. The playoff picture is largely set

Awesome work by MLB and ESPN getting rid of the statcast broadcast, which was incredibly informative and well done to give us A-Rod’s own show…a universally disliked baseball pundit by actual baseball fans, who they had to reassign because he was so bad on Sunday Night Baseball. Just incredible work.

I despise the whole "Champa Bay" thing. Even the Rays have almost won a title, and that area doesn't really care about any of those teams. They don't deserve it. When they are championship-level they show up, but that's it.

They did win 2 of the major sports titles in the same year recently. Almost made it a 3-fer. Between the Bucs, Lightning, and Rays they almost pulled off a pretty incredible feat. The same town winning 2 titles in the same year is pretty great itself. They deserved Champa Bay title in my opinion.

Oh I'm not saying the teams themselves didn't deserve it - it's more their fans that didn't deserve it. The Tampa area isn't really what I'd call passionate about any of those teams, especially the Rays and the Lightning. They seem most passionate about the Bucs, but even that is fairly bandwagon-y. They don't give two s**ts about the Rays even when they are one of the best teams in the league for entire lengths of the regular seasons.

Now we got an Only Fans model involved breaking into a hotel to have sex with Antonio Brown and claiming he asked her to record it and release it the night before game…and it could potentially affect next week’s playoff game because she is COVID positive.

If the NFL was a movie / tv show the plot would obviously be to win the super bowl, but since every team cannot accomplish this obviously, the NFL invests in all avenues of drama to peak and rejuvenate interest in the "sport" -- much like character development and side stories. I mean club euro futbol sparks more interest in club transfers, controversary, loans, etc... than actual matches on the pitch.
