The Official Tennessee vs. Purdue Music City Bowl Game Thread, 3:00 PM ET, ESPN

Not sure what it looks like on tv, but at the stadium he’s made several bad throws that could have been HUGE

Hooker has not thrown the ball well at all - I'm not sure if he hit anyone in stride the entire 1st half. At least he has run it well.
Constantly short on long balls and receivers made a couple of nice catches coming back and winning a jump ball for the completion when both plays should have been easy touchdowns.
Other throws he has sailed passes over the receiver's head. Or some awful looking "miscommunication" throws completely off-target.
Even when Tennessee was scoring, Hooker was not throwing well. TD passes have been thrown short.
He is playing like he has the flu or something. Maybe he spent the month reading about how great he is and came into this game not focused.
That fumble at the end of the half was just awful.

Something sure looks wrong with the guy.

The D players moved, but did not enter the neutral zone.

The offsetting personal foul call seemed questionable, but I didn’t see a clear replay of it.

It was BS. A couple of our OL double-teamed one of their ends and Purdue didn't like it. So one of the guy's teammates dove on one of our guys who was trying to get up off the ground after the play was over. None of our guys did anything after that, but they still called it offsetting. I knew as soon as I heard the words "ACC officiating crew" that we were going to get some bad calls.

Our secondary is what it is. Why should we expect them to be good the last game of the season? Hendon is the one not playing like he usually does. I get your point though.

I avoided the thread in the 1H. Coming back it seems like I watched a different game than all you coaches.

The diff is line play. Purdue DLine outplayed our OLine and their OLine outplayed our DLIne in the 2Q. That caused Hooker's fumble and too many other hurries screwing up timing & routes. It caused their run game to be much better than it should been and their QB, except for a couple of plays to lay it out

If you don't have the best beef on the on the table, the meal just doesn't taste so good.

Gotta pressure their QB. He's deadly when he has time to go through his progressions; much less so when he has the defense in his face. So you've gotta rush 5 the rest of the way. If they beat man coverage, then so be it. Better than getting dissected with no pressure.

Deep shots are fine, but you've gotta move the chains in the 2nd half. I think a swing pass or screen to Velus or the RB would gain yards, and eventually force the defense to come up close, and then...back to the deep ball.

UT had all the momentum, and then they had none. That has to get fixed, and quick, in the 2nd half. UT's first drive is huge.

Go Vols.

Our defense is atrocious. Just terrible.

Banks should be rpplaced after this game. He lost me on the 20 play 12:00 minute drive against Vanderbilt.

We suck.

No. He's an NFL prospect with plenty of tackles remember.
