Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I'm dealing with a purchasing guy on renewing a contract with a client and his email signature is John Smith, MBA. Wanna guess what it's like working with that guy?
I can only imagine. It sounds like the "expert" I work with because he swears he took some college courses but can't produce any paperwork

Btw.... my boss and her husband both just tested positive. His symptoms were a fever..... she just tested because he was positive. Both are triple jabbed and wear a mask 90% of the time. Have another co worker same story he never tested but all of his symptoms point to omicron. But tell me masks and viruses are nothing more than virtue signaling

No, we’re merely discounting garbage produced by people that use some fabricated grading metric to produce results that don’t even come close to meshing with reality.
He won the war and freed the slaves are surface garbage metrics and should never be used in any ranking of Presidents. If that was given any consideration in that ranking is just lends proof to the garbage that it is.
Again…discounting professionals (and in this case a survey of historians, not just one) and countering it with terms such as “garbage” and “fabrication.” Eerily similar to the tactics of demagogues and wanna-be dictators.

Read your history and start thinking for yourselves rather than soaking up mere propaganda.

He had a fever with his Omicron?!?! That's worse than 80% of the cases! He should thank GOD that he was able to survive this 0.027% death rate.

I have read my history and came to my conclusions from my research. Now, is this poll a simple opinion poll of college professors or is there some method to their list?

“Indeed, of 1,521 over-80s who died from COVID-19 during this time, 1,272 were fully vaccinated, the data shows. Forty-three had received one vaccine dose, while 198 were unvaccinated. Meanwhile, 607 out of 801 70 to 79-year-olds who died from COVID-19 had received two vaccine doses (164 hadn’t been vaccinated) and of 411 60- to 69-year-olds, 258 were fully vaccinated (125 were unvaccinated).”

With DeSantis trying everything in his power to suppress the reporting data, you know it’s really so much worse.

@lostsheep please tell us if you think Lincoln was the best president in our history and if so (or not) why.
@hog88, once again you’re trying to move the goalposts to make an argument you believe you can win.
Go back and look at the origination of this string of discussion and then let me know what the point of contention was.

Bless your heart, why do you think I’m questioning that survey you posted. It’s because I have read history, actual historical documents, and I’m not buying into the propaganda you’re peddling.

I ran some numbers this morning, given the "Darwin"/natural selection comment and after the hullabaloo last night:

In almost two years, 0.076% of the U.S. population under 65 years old has died with a diagnosis of CV19. That is 8 people per 10,000. Of them 3/4 were 50-64. Therefore, 2 people per 10,000 under 50 years old have died with CV. Should we do the under 17 group?
If you go back to the start of the pandemic before there was a vaccine, this is true. But if you run the numbers after the vaccine it’s a different story.
Now, people 65 and older have the highest vaccination rate, with nearly 90 percent of them fully vaccinated, and the share of deaths attributed to the virus in that age group has declined.
Covid now accounts for a larger share of deaths among white and young Americans.

For many younger Americans and white Americans, in fact, Covid is now responsible for a higher share of deaths from all causes than it was earlier in the pandemic.

For much of the pandemic, older Americans and people of color were more likely to die from the virus, the demographics of those dying from Covid have shifted too, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

It’s possible, it’s been packed down here in the Tampa Bay Area, traffic around and to and from the beaches has been horrible. The weather has been perfect down here the last couple of days.

The only way for anyone to agree that Lincoln was our best President is to be ignorantly accepting of what “experts” tell them to believe or they are racist supremacy advocates who heartily agree with Lincoln’s own words and support his crapping on the Constitution.

You made the claim the we would discount the professionals/experts. You were right because I disagree with their list, numerous times I have explained why I disagree with them but as of yet i haven't had it explained how/why they ranked Lincoln #1. Or are we not supposed to question "experts" anymore?

I'm only responding to you this time because of how wrong you are. It is ABSOLUTELY still true that the mortality rate for the under-65 crowd is a tiny fraction of a percent and that CV remains basically a non-issue for children and nothing more than a minor blip for pediatric hospitals.

I've explained many times how blind percentages mean nothing and encouraged you to look at actual raw numbers. Nothing has changed, and you continue to skim the surface for fear-mongering headlines, tweets, and TikToks without having any real understanding of the issue.

You literally contribute nothing of substance to this thread or discussion, and I would ignore you in a heartbeat if I could.

If it isn't fear mongering, he isn't interested. That's because his favorite political leaders continue to use covid for their purposes. Covid is and has been a big nothing burger for young, healthy people.

Now do the total number of people who had some other underlying condition. Or had a terrible lifestyle and either smoked, drank, were obese etc..... the amount of people who actually just dropped dead out of nowhere for this thing has to be under 10%. COVID mightve been the excuse but it hasn't been the actual reason like the media and political over lords want us to believe.
