Part of the script, IMO. In 2020, the Dems were all over Trump for leaving it up to the states. NOW, Biden is leaving it up to the states.

Watch the media praise Biden for following the Constitution. WTF!

It’s an attempt to deflect blame away from him and the democrats in congress, nothing more. And yes the press will be praising him for it.

Just spit balling and searching for some sunshine, but I wonder if this was scripted if it indicates that they have some inside knowledge about how the Supreme Court case will go... so the staff is doing this in an attempt to get ahead of that and pivot to shifting the burden on the states. Seems like there is also precedent about states having the power to require vaccine mandates, but not the Federal government.

So far, very few, if anyone has told the real truth about COVID.

The truth: No government, no mandate, no mask, no lock down, no vaccine, nor any individual can stop the spread or mutation of the virus. It is an unfortunate part of being human and having a society in which people must physically interact. We will all get through this, and eventually this virus will cycle through when enough people are exposed to all the variants. Unfortunately, some have died, and more will die in the future. The hope is that new therapeutics and new treatments will save more of those that fall seriously ill. Live your lives, and do your best to use extra care and good practice if you are among the most vulnerable or work with the most vulnerable.

I haven't, nor probably will ever hear someone in charge say something like that.

There are other countries where this is said and understood. Unfortunately we really allow the nefarious parts of the $$$ to rule here.

Yes it's scripted to deflect blame from the administration. The vaccine mandates should (never know with a Roberts court) be tossed and then the admin will start with threats of withholding federal funds from states that refuse to enact a mandate.

This just shows you the arrogance of man... that we think we can control all aspects of nature and the universe. Also shows that a lot of people have faith in systems (governments) and procedures/processes (lockdowns/masks). That is at the very heart of those that believe in technocracy. You see the same arrogance being played out with our economy. We have people that think they can manipulate the economy with technical wizardry like zero/negative interest rates, central banking and expecting endless growth in a world of finite resources.

If this were a fair and just world, I would hope to see their medical and economic technocracy dreams crash and burn.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

I then started to wonder what Federal funding to the states would he try to go after. Transportation? Education?
