Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence...

Also, I assume that you will be the one to determine if any info presented is reliable, right?

There are standard models by which to determine reliability without relying on one individual. For example:

Triangulation: the same or closely similar story is produced by at least three different reliable, verifiable witnesses or participants (not news outlets or sites). Also inter-rater reliability and consistency of coding among separated researchers.

Artifacts: Tangible, traceable items (paper trail, email chain, etc) that can be corroborated through inter-rater reliability at minimum or by direct confirmation from the originator of the item or communication with at least a 95% confidence levels.

And that's just the start.

She needs a lifetime ban from that airline after she's released from custody.
Mixed feelings on that. Since it is a private company, they can do just about anything they want. I obviously don't agree with her actions.

But on the other hand, people make mistakes (this is a big one obviously). But I'm just getting to the point of pushing back on this kneejerk canceling or banning someone over mistakes they make or things they say. I guess I have not really a big issue with a ban, not sure about lifetime ban, but that is their decision to make.

The thing we have to be careful of is if this results in her being put on the no-fly list...

The Cult of Fauci is real.

It scares me that there are actually many people like this Democrat out there who grovel and worship at the feet of Fauci. Anyone who dares question anything they're being told by this egotistical maniac with a god complex is labeled a "science-denier".

I agree it really is like a cult or religion, and Fauci is their messiah. .

How are you so acutely aware of her political ideology? Does her political ideology even matter? Can we not simply label poor behavior as poor behavior without the need to add further modifiers?

You do a great job of playing the middle. This is absolutely poor behavior. However, it is also obviously a political ideology at this point. What party is more likely to be “vigilant” about masking and yet not abide by their own standards??

What about your kids? Who cares about you?

Boy, this pandemic shows that we have many in society that would rather sacrifice the youth in order to save the older folks.

I agree. I think it's the ultimate form of entitlement to expect younger people to give up their lives and live in a dystopian world (i.e. forced masking and vaccination) just to "save" people who are already past median life expectancy anyways.

The psychological ramifications of everything that has gone on that past year and a half will be far reaching and devastating. We're already seeing spikes in suicides amongst young people.

He's simply playing the odds. It is more likely that a liberal Karen would do this than a conservative Karen. Obviously, there are exceptions to the rule, but even if I put a gun to your head and asked you to guess her ideology if it meant saving your life, you would guess a liberal.

"Save grandma" and "vaccinate the kids"... incredible.

Another anti science "doctor" at it again
Guidance around cloth face masks has changed
"Cloth masks are little more than facial decorations. There's no place for them in light of Omicron," said CNN Medical Analyst Dr. Leana Wen, an emergency physician and visiting professor of health policy and management at the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health

Those people are pretty close together. Couldn't that be a super-spreader event in and of itself? Oh, wait, they're wearing masks so everything's fine then.

Actually, being outside in the winter is safer unmasked. The convection current immediately draws warmer air upwards want away from those congregating.

Wearing a mask outdoors - during winter, summer, days ending in y - poses no advantage to not wearing a mask outdoors.

Two recently vaxxed kids. One full on asymptomatic. The other awfully damn close (a little snotty nose and 99-100 fever for a day or two). That's a great result with a variant that largely evades a vaccine designed for wild type coronavirus. Maybe it would have happened without the vaccine. Who knows. Glad I did it and I'll do it again when they're booster eligible (we had no side effects from the vaccine other than a headache).

I backed out of a testing line for that reason. Once you got to the front of the line you were in a small waiting room with like 8 other test seekers and God knows how many before those 8 you would be with. Veritable cesspool of covid.
