A new Pentagon report found that roughly 100 U.S. service members participated in "prohibited extremist activities" in the last nine months.

"We believe that less than 100, or about 100, active duty or reserve component members of the military participated in prohibited extremist activities," Pentagon press secretary John Kirby said during a Monday press briefing, adding that the military's "data collecting systems still need to get better."

The number represents just a fraction of the over 2 million people who currently serve in the U.S. military, with Kirby saying the "vast majority of men and women in our armed forces… serve honorably."

This post is strange. There was a WH correspondent trying to press Blinken on what constitutes terrorism. She was trying to press him in a corner to say explicitly who they are trying to label terrorists. You know who they want to call terrorists. I'm not sure what that has to do with Fox News.

The OP implied that there was concern on his part that those he considered patriots would be considered by others to be extremists.

I found that to be odd, which is why I pointed out that it was a weird association. In hindsight, I should have realized that the OP was simply bellyaching and sowing seeds of victimhood like the pantywaste he is.

What sane person would want extremists (of any kind) serving in a capacity where loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage are required above personal belief?

Because your Oberste Führer Biden has made that connection - that the only dangerous extremists are the patriotic kind. Extremists on the left such as Antifa, BLM, etc are not even recognized as "extremists."

I agree that we do not need "extremists" of any sort in the military

This "purge" was clearly a response from the Pentagon to the scene at the United States Capitol during the afternoon hours of January 6th. It is comical that so many posters here still want to refer to the people responsible as "patriots". They are idiots who participated in mob violence.
