are you being contentious out of sport or do you just argue all the time? Its Christmas eve, id rather not let the debates today, despite the near Century's worth of empirical evidence. I'm not sure where we got off rails as a Society not believing what Medical Doctors say.

Beyond Fox News, listen to Kenneth Osterholm podcast. He is drier than a Chardonnay. He is degreed in infectious diseases. As far as Covid goes, he only speaks to what he knows, which is infectious diseases. Ergo he is a qualified authority not affiliated with CDC, Fox/MSNBC, or any branch of Govt.

Knowledge is power, at least that's what the books say. Ive tried to always listen to the other side to at least see things from a different viewpoint. If not to access new information. Perhaps its natural curiousity?

So really quickly. The mask doesn’t protect you. It protects others from you spreading an airborne virus.

No politics. Simple infectious disease 101…that’s why the influenza numbers have reached an all time low.

Something not understood by the current me, me, me culture. It doesn’t protect me so I don’t need to wear a mask.

Ask not what mankind can do for you, but what can you do for mankind. This falls on deaf ears.

I posted a tweet mocking Dan Woken and you responded to me. Not the other way around. And which doctors? Should I believe Fauci in March 2020 or Fauci now? Plenty of doctors recognize that masks do nothing and the data has shown repeatedly that they have done absolutely nothing to slow the spread of this virus over the last year and a half.

But masks are doing something, unfortunately:

Can assure you the Neuro's who worked to remove MRSA and Staph from my MIL's neck to save her life knew this before their 4 years in Med, Residencies, and Fellows.

This isnt new info.

That's right. The flu numbers are down because people are wearing masks. But why are the covid numbers up? Because people aren't wearing masks dang it!

Bass this isnt anything new. Its comes down to personal responsibility. China is one if not THE global leader in plastics consumption and egregious polluter. If we dont act now to pressure the world, meaning taking the reigns in fight to end polluting oceans, ie using recycled materials, cloth masks, and ending single use plastics ... our children will be in trouble.

There is no study, anywhere, that shows that masks are effective at all in slowing the spread of the virus. None, zero, zilch. There hasn't been over the past 2 years. I can show you multiple studies of controlled trials where masks were shown to be near completely ineffective.

But that disagrees with your assertion, so even the case studies mean nothing. You're much smarter than those doctors anyway, of course. Even Fauci, who told us in February/March 2020 that masks do nothing but make people feel better. Only doctors who agree with you should be listened to. You're the standard of intelligence after all.

Actual real world numbers mean nothing according to Hulk! Don't tell that to these doctors, though:

Mask mandate and use efficacy in state-level COVID-19 containment

"Results: Case growth was not significantly different between mandate and non-mandate states at low or high transmission rates, and surges were equivocal. Mask use predicted lower case growth at low, but not high transmission rates. Growth rates were comparable between states in the first and last mask use quintiles adjusted for normalized total cases early in the pandemic and unadjusted after peak Fall-Winter infections. Mask use did not predict Summer 2020 case growth for non-Northeast states or Fall-Winter 2020 growth for all continental states.
Conclusions: Mask mandates and use are not associated with slower state-level COVID-19 spread during COVID-19 growth surges. Containment requires future research and implementation of existing efficacious strategies.

Our findings do not support the hypothesis that SARS-CoV-2 transmission rates decrease with greater public mask use"

Clearly these doctors are really dumb for even studying such data, though. It's meaningless. Just ask Hulk
