Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Not Doc, but you’re correct it didn’t fit the classic definition until the CDC recently changed that vaccine definition to fit these shots. 😉

Calling it a vaccine was intentionally done to create acceptance by familiarity with the terminology.
I agree with the above. If it's meant to reduce the severity of your symptoms/risk of hospitalization/death, it's a therapeutic.

Vaccines are meant to induce immunity, which prevents the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents.

Our health system most certainly did. During the last surge, we had days where more than a third of our inpatients were C19 patients. Our hospitals were at 130 to 150 percent capacity, and non-emergent surgeries were postponed for several weeks until the surge subsided.

I also find the term "elective" misleading. People think of cosmetic surgery, etc. when they hear elective surgery. But what elective surgery means is actually any non-emergent surgery. Not criticizing your use of the term -- obviously, it's used industry-wide. I just think it's not especially clear to non-health care personnel.
Is your hospital 100% staffed? Most claiming this and article are understaffed by a impactful percentage...

Negative test #3 and we're headed to spread our germs in TN.

Friend who I was in contact with that tested pos with a rapid test got a neg PCR. This makes so much sense
Wife tested negative on a rapid test yesterday and then positive today. So I guess she has it but who knows?

I have mixed feelings about this.

I'm glad to see people engaging in civil disobedience and coming up with ways to side step this... but I'm also fully aware that these same cops would drop the hammer on the average citizen for doing the exact same thing.

But what about your boy Trump telling Candace Owens that everyone should get it and that the development of the vaccine in such a short time is the great achievement ever of mankind.

I'm a introvert who avoids public spaces outside of job duties. Not much has changed or will change for me.
I just find it interesting that N95’s have ALWAYS been the mask to wear if we were wearing masks. Somehow, 20+ months in, now it’s a thing. Even though the CDC website, updated 10/25/2021, states we shouldn’t wear them because they’re in short supply. Seems like someone could’ve made a few hundred million in the last 20 months if high quality masks were really that essential.

I know I know I know probably 50% is the flu and the pandemic is over.

Never had a problem getting them at my local Ace.

Funny, I had a similar picture from the back of one of our "government issued PPE" masks at the office that no one could wear because they burned your eyes so badly. Chinese symbols and a disclaimer that they do not stop viruses.
Had the same issue, I took them home and washed them. No more problems. My constant rhinitis is also gone. Makes you wonder what they are impregnated with.

Biden actually said something good about Trump:

President Biden offers rare praise of former President Trump during Covid speech

He's more reasonable than some of the libs here on VN. Think about that
This is about getting, what he perceives to be Trump holdouts, vaccinated, as if everyone who voted for him “blindly” follows what he does or says. Trump has been vaccinated for 11 months and hasn’t been shy of talking about it and taking credit for its speediness yet people still don’t want to receive it.

President Trump started to realize if he didn’t do something soon he wouldn’t have the votes for 2024. Smart move.

He knew that in January before the inauguration? That’s when he got his first dose. And by “him” I meant Biden; he’s trying to appeal to his non-supporters to get vaccinated. I’ll get mine tomorrow now because Biden spoke good of Trump.
