If your argument is that players only get 5 stars because they go to Bama then it's obvious you don't keep up with recruiting or understand the ranking system.... Which is fine, it's boring stuff. But if you want to learn more and get an education on how the recruiting ranking system works DM me. Let's discuss it.You know the stars are adjusted dependent on which program lands a player right? Pretty easy to bet a player at Bama will be a pro one day, etc.
What’s there to discuss? I’ve followed recruiting since the days of Scout, then Rivals, then 247. I’ve seen many a bump just bc of an offer from a school like Ohio State, or Bama, or Georgia, etc. I’m not saying Bama lands all 5 star players; I am however saying that these sites rank recruits by committable offers and often also give bumps by what school they commit to. I think there is sufficient evidence of this if you follow recruiting as much as you claim to.If your argument is that players only get 5 stars because they go to Bama then it's obvious you don't keep up with recruiting or understand the ranking system.... Yep. Don't know if Moten is better or not, but theres more than just talent involved. There's also effort and fit that go along with talent. I can't imagine the hours Garner and the other coaches keep. Job plus recruiting is a load and very time consuming. If I'm a position coach, the last thing I want to deal with is a lazy prima donna. Even if I had the time to try and bring the best out of a player like that, there's no guarantee you can reach that inner fire and ignite it. Instead, I'm gonna look for kids that love the game and have that drive to compete. Makes my life and job much easier. I have a very hard time seeing Nolan coming to UT to play for Rodney Garner. That makes Moten far more likely to wear orange IMO.
Those bumps however are based on player quality. If that was true, if a player committed to a lesser school would they lose a grade? Wouldn't that also mean historically good teams bumps would be false fallacies? What’s there to discuss? I’ve followed recruiting since the days of Scout, then Rivals, then 247. Not necessarily on dropping player rankings if they commit to a lesser school. But yeah generally Bama players get a bump in rankings. Rivals was pretty bad and has generally went downhill since some scouts left for 247. You could probably find an article a few years ago about them ranking a made up player. Those bumps however are based on player quality. Yes he was so "inconsequential" that Powell high school won its first state football championship. I wonder why Nick Saban offered him a scholarship? I guess he doesn't know anything about high school talent? As for Maryville offering him all this money you speak of, that is absolute BS.He was inconsequential. After an early locker room fight was hushed away, and he took himself out of playing multiple times a game when he wanted to, the only toxicity left was his mom getting a new car and house courtesy of coach and the Potts lol
I have first hand knowledge that it’s true. Just like I am 100% right about the Potts taking care of his parentsYes he was so "inconsequential" that Powell high school won its first state football championship. There was actually a lot of discussion about him when they thought he might come to UT. He may turn out to be great, but he certainly didn’t earn his ranking by his play. There were plenty of people on here trashing Nolen after seeing him play in East TN this season. That’s when ppl thought UT would land him.
