I really do need it, and it never helps a bit.Yes, kinda like when you get your hair all fixed and put make up on. You don't really need it but it does make you look more desirable.
Bone in, each bone for each person (that helps with the light eaters or ones that show up unexpectedly). I do a herb blend of thyme, rosemary, garlic and a little oregano, plus kosher salt and pepper. I use a little butter to coat with herbs and (bones side down) cook for on 425 for 10 min and then slow roast 15 minutes per pound on 325. Close to the end I check temperature and baste to 120 ish. Pull it out and let rest (tented) for about 20 minutes or when my son starts swarming the kitchen.I've never done it. I don't even know how to buy one.

sorry, I had to edit that, I’m still binge watching Yellowstone.
This all got started on December 8, 2011 by my friend @VIF with the first Ask Behr anything about food thread. His OP.....
"Behr, RV is cooking a prime rib for Christmas dinner along with shrimp and lobster. She has never done a prime rib before and asked me to ask you for your suggestions and expertise. The prime rib is for 6-8 people. Can you post a recipe/guide for her to follow?
Thanks my friend. (I hope you are not embarrassed by this thread cause we value your skills)"
