Oh look, a Pfizer shareholder!

Nope. A smart husband. Implying the shot did not affect me at all, and that the pharmacy told me it was the best one to take for side effects does not make me a shareholder. You're way late to this party. best to get a move on.

It appears my post was tagged in a response to Mad4Vols. It would be that little embedded box with his post in it right above my post ??? We've been poking each other a bit today. It's all good though. He's a good sport and apparently a pretty decent person.
I ignored Mad4Vols about 3 weeks ago. It eliminated a lot of BS from this particular thread. It's surprising to hear that he's actually responding to anyone. He hadn't done that for months before. He would just post a BS article and run. With respect to your post to which I responded, I didn't see it notating a response to somebody else's post, and I couldn't see his post since I ignored him.

All of the vaccines have potential side effects, including the Pfizer vaccine (myocarditis anyone?). I have no issues with your post other than your promotion of the Pfizer vaccine as superior to alternatives.

Fair enough. I do enjoy seeing all his memes getting zero likes though. We've had decent conversations in other threads that don't get into this stuff. But, he's wacko in these covid related themes.

I feel great, I’m healthy, exercise everyday, take my vitamins too. I don’t watch the news, it’s garbage. But I 100% disagree with you that the pandemic ends as soon as people ignore it.

1) You get your hysteria from somewhere.

2)The flu ended when people started ignoring it.

My daughter asked her 91 yr old grandmother about covid-19 and her answer to my daughter was:

"Well, if I get it then that's the end of Granny"

In other words, at that age, something will get me. Whatever
Lol we extubated a 99 year old covid pt 2 days ago. She’s down to 2 L nasal cannula and screaming she’s hungry. Shes told her son in no certain terms she’s getting out of here, he’s driving.

I only promoted Pfizer because I took it and my wife took Moderna. I felt zilch. She might as well of had the virus itself. Moderna put her down hard for about a week each time. CVS promoted Pfizer to me as the one they get the least complaints about. My experience verses my wife's and other co-workers who had similar experiences with Moderna.

In general, I'm very leery of virus shots. I have a very stout immune system, right down to minimal rash with poison ivy. The only case of the flu I've had in 25 years was the year I got the flu shot. The only two periods in my life I caught things sorta easily was the 10 years I smoked, and living in a college dorm those 4 years. I'm skeptical that the same will happen here. I work part time in a bowling center. Face to face this entire epidemic with the nasty public 20 hours a week and never got sick. Now, I'm two months in on a shot...just waiting for it to happen.

On the other hand, if you were suspicious enough to ask me who I was referring to, you already had an idea it was him and wanted to see how good you were.

A 2 person sample size isn't valid. Both the Pfizer and the Moderna vaccines hit some people worse than others. My mom and sister-in-law, for instance, were both hit hard by the Pfizer vaccine. My brother had two shots of the Moderna vaccine and had no issues whatsoever. Other people are hit harder by the Moderna vaccine. Pfizer appears to cause myocarditis in young males. They all have issues. None of them are inherently superior to another.

Agreed. I'd also say not. And I don't think too highly of any of them. Especially since they had a head start in R&D from Obamas epidemic. I'm more against the scam going on. After all this time since his admin, you're telling me those vaccines that went under research then were no better developed than they are in the same class of virus, and the Pharms get class action exemption for a vaccine that's been in development over 8 years already. But, it's approved for emergency no fault use. And there's not already THE vaccine waiting for them to make their billions off this before they roll that one out. C'mon Man. That crap right there is where tin foil hats come from.

For some reason, it seems like a lot of antivaxers are stuck on the premise that vaccine’s need to be 100% or they don’t work.

Perhaps because in order to be a true vaccine it needs to create an immune response to the virus.

Sorta like every other true vaccine that’s available.

From a local DC media article about the new requirements:

"Bowser’s announcement comes as the D.C. region is experiencing a spike in coronavirus cases leading up to the holidays. Patrick Ashley, with DC Health, said the city hasn’t seen a spike in hospitalizations despite the uptick in cases."

what's the 7 day average of daily cases - it's the better metric of cases since testing isn't reported evenly every day.

also, NY had over 28K in a single day - 7 day average is 19.4K

Why do we keep reporting new cases of covid? We could have 40 million a day, and it doesn't mean squat unless people are getting deathly ill. When I actually know someone that ends up in the hospital from covid, I might give it more credence. In nearly 2 years of this, my county has had around 250 deaths "reported" from covid. 250 out of over 100k in 2 years isn't exactly worrisome in my eyes.

I agree - but given that case counts are typically reported at a minimum the 7 day average should be used instead of counts from a single day.
