I don’t know when you were in your early 20s, but 240-260 is a pretty good drive, especially before the days of 460cc drivers and super high-tech graphite shafts.

Have also felt like anyone able to consistently drive 250+ and keep it in the fairway is going to be a damn good golfer.

I could smack it north of 275, and at times it even went straight. But I also never really played much or got into it, I'd rather day drink while bowling than out on a course.

I don't think checkerboards is a troll. I think he wants Tennessee to win. He just wants them to do it his way and does not care what you think about it. He might actually have some good points if he presented them in a way that did not make everyone believe he thinks we are all idiots for disagreeing with him.
Yes. I want TN to win. Yes I think there's a better way.

Went over Thanksgiving break. It has definitely taken a turn for the worse. Prime rib is still good, but other steaks are awful. Dessert menu is down to 5 cakes vs 20+ in the olde days.

Yep - stopped going after decades of going. It's a shame, but they charge too much money to provide mediocre food.

@mr.checkerboards
I’ve steered clear of the piling on as you have a point of view. Never noticed you share it in a mean way. The stress will be over soon and things will return to normal…

Just kidding bro… keep sharing. All in good fun

What sucks for us is most states keep their kids home...but during his limited time here Pruitt nuked so many bridges that local kids straight up want no part of UT football.

I expect Josh Heupel is working to rebuild those bridges though, but the well for this year's kids was already poisoned.

2019 class we landed 9 of the top 30 kids in state, of those 9 3 have already left the team. I also give the majority of credit for this strong class to YAC, his ties to Memphis helped us land 5 of those 9 kids.
2021 class we only landed 2 of the top 30 kids in state. (Merrill & Parker)
2022 class we only landed 2 of the top 30 kids in state, so far. (Miller & Herring)

So hopefully they can land some of these 2023 kids and start building back a product that local kids want to play for, but at the same time I trust the staff to get the best players they can regardless of where they are from.

adding onto the Pitt research this morning, looks like all of their starters on their OL are returning

again, for those not in the know, "run it back" means "do it again" 👍

edit: sorry missed the @johnfnkelly post

Experts at the uncalled holding. Kind of like Mizzou's method when Elarbee was there. Grab the jersey inside or the arm pit and stay in front of the defender so the officials will not call it. Which is why you need two speed rushers on the outside to open gaps and get them to grabbing in the open. The new QB is not mobile and will not beat us running around.
