Yep, Ye Olde steakhouse. Need to go back. It's been a min. Last time I was there was disappointed.
My last visit was post-fire and it was also underwhelming. I am willing to give them another shot because prior that one time, there was not a better steak to be had anywhere. The porterhouse was as good as it gets.

Might be cheaper to just buy the damn cow.

👀😂😂 ole son we’re coming up on a time where we will revert back to our roots throw on the coon skin hat and hit the damn woods..I feel sorry for the city folks that don’t know how to load or clean ole Betsy!…she’s a mighty fine rifle in these parts….

with that being said…all my hunting friends on here let me know what the price uh going is for some home cooked deer chili or seasoned deer meat!…I be damned if I pay inflation “let’s go Brandon” prices!…I’ll throw a trot line or use a bear trap before I ever pay that.

I’d prefer this guy over Pickett next year…

Love this for Kedon. Don’t expect anything too crazy Pitt fans but he’s a super solid QB. I don’t think his ceiling is very high (he’s no Pickett), but he has a very high floor, meaning that even on a bad day he’s still a very solid QB. One thing that holds him back as an elite college QB is his mobility. But I loved him at SC so best of luck to Slovis and Pitt!

this is the third USC QB to end up at Pitt - Max Browne and Ricky Town previously

Bruce Feldman @BruceFeldmanCFB SOURCE: Former USC QB Kedon Slovis is transferring to Pitt. The 20-year-old QB threw 58 TDs and only 24 picks in three seasons while completing over 68% of his passes. He will inherit a strong supporting cast led by Biletnikoff winner Jordan Addison.

Don't take that stat line too seriously. 6 of those 24 came against Oregon where Slovis was running for his life from Oregon's Dline. People seem to not understand that USC's o-line is really bad. He is a gun slinger and a great QB. He will excel at Pitt.

He injured his elbow in his freshman season bowl game and never quite got it back to 100%. He's good though.

He does tend to play into the game manager role a lot. But then again who knows if that was because of him or Clay/Harrell's ineptitude

he has also suffered multiple concussions

Here’s the rundown:

He’s better than Max Browne, that’s one thing I can say for sure. Kedon had a monster year in 2019 and has since regressed. A lot of people point to the O-line but the pass pro was decent this year and he still didn’t look great.

He had a super star WR group his first few years, three currently in the NFL and one who is about to be there. While that makes his evaluation tougher, remember he was playing in an outdated and extremely ineffective system.

Bottom line he looked like he had the yips. He needs some new scenery and a new system. I think a fresh start will do wonders. Shoulder injuries have capped how hard he can drive the ball, but when he’s on he’s accurate and a good improviser. He’s mobile enough, but nothing crazy. Again, when he’s on, he’s got great touch. If you make him comfortable and give him something to work with he’ll be fine.

I think he’ll be a great addition and I wish him nothing but success. He was put in a bad position partly due to his own play, but a lot of it falls on a deeply flawed system and incompetent coaching.

I for one was surprised very surprised to have learned that Slovis threw for 8,000 yards during his time at USC. Impressive I think.

From Pitt fans:
Almost all of our skill players are coming back. If we give him time, he'll have every chance to put up his best season against a rebuilding ACC Coastal (and his freshman season was already very good by college standards).

Pitt returns damn near the entire team potentially if an OL or two take their extra COVID year. Most of the defense returns and if it's the D that played vs Wake and UNC, Pitt is in great shape. Remember the names Izzy Abanikanda and Gavin Bartholomew. They're gonna be household names next year.

Well his girlfriend is on the Pitt Women’s soccer team

Gets to play with Jordan Addison, the best WR in college football and reunite with his girlfriend. No brainer here

I guess he was down to Pitt, Notre Dame, and Nebraska and chose Pitt because his gf goes there and they're in a better position as a program. Lotta Nebraska fans are upset. Notre Dame fans doing the "didn't want him anyway."

While our defense has some interesting stats to parade around (TFLs, etc), they need to markedly improve next heart for us to win anything significant. I think depth played a big part but they have to be much better period. We were atrocious on 3rd down and in the red zone like you mentioned.

UK didn’t punt against us. That’s just bad
But KY lost. That's what matters.

The longtime assistant coach of Gonzaga (Tommy Lloyd) took over Arizona this year, so they have a similar style to Gonzaga. They have a solid offense and score at every level. They don't have any player as talented as Chandler, but their front court (Mathurin, Koloko, and Tubelis) is big and skilled. Arizona hasn't really been tested this year. I think the best team they've defeated is Illinois, which is a good squad. I think Tennessee can muck the game up with its pace and defense, but we're gonna have to hit our 3s to win. Fulkerson may have his hands full trying to wrangle their 3 7 ft-ish front court players.

It seems like two things have derailed our team in our losses:

1) foul trouble early, which is completely ref-dependent imo. I haven't seen two games called consistently. if the refs decide we aren't going to play physical, then we don't get to play physical. and Barnes will bench ANYONE with 2+ fouls.

2) the paint. we get bullied underneath by teams with size. when that happens we don't finish, we don't rebound on either side, leads to less shots for us and more shots for them.

these are not revolutionary thoughts, I know, but they've been easy to see, which is why our losses have been very frustrating

also I didn't realize that this is how Pitt's season starts next year:

HUGE (this can't be overstated) rivalry renewal game vs WVU, then we get to come in the next week seeking revenge.
I’m hoping the Steelers play at home that weekend…. If they do….. I’m going to go up for both games.

Good info. I may need to finish reading in 2022.
You just set @VolsDoc81TX back a half day…😂

What are Pitt fans smoking that they think Jordan Addison is the best WR in college football?
