Strange how the rivals guys all say Bumphus is definitely coming back, but everyone else says the opposite.
that article makes the same statement on Bumphus and Solomon that Heupel made in a PC a few weeks ago. Which I do not take as gospel. If they play in the MCB, then they will not be back for certain.
the thing about the article is that the writer states not any of our previous transfers can be replaced with the up to 7 transfer rule. I don't know what his sources are but NO ONE seems certain about what the rule means.
I am hoping It ends up meaning one announces his intent to enter whenever to allow players and teams to communicate, but you complete ENTRY at the end of the grading period when your GPA and related progress numbers can be Calculated and your eligibility to transfer established. Then the receiving school has to certify the player is enrolled and eligible there for you to get a replacement.
Since we may have trouble staying under the (85 - possible self imposed scholarship reductions), I don't think we will have room to take advantage of the extra 7 transfers this year anyway.A media rep asked 4 different people in compliance to give interpretation and got 4 different answers. Beginning to think even the NCAA doesn't know how to administer. Certainly our compliance staff does not
that is true. still need to understand this ruling.
I am not the most techno savy old guy and I have surfed may eyes out trying to find comprehensive official documentation and it has alluded me. Seems to be a series of announcements altering the grad transfer rules to more inclusive ONE TIME guidelines.
If anybody can direct me to something comprehensive I would appreciate it. I keep thinking it has to be out there.
this is all I've found. its still interpretive to me. My interpretation remains, players can be replaced with up to 7 transfers if the player leaves after the fall term or 12/15. Which we have had no one meet that criteria right now as the article stated. Again, my interpretation.
