Well the one my son got was for 95 in a 55 and the officer said he was going faster than that until he slowed down. So no, I told the cop to take him to jail. He wouldn't do it. He took the points, went to school and paid the ticket.Anybody ever fought a speeding ticket for a teen driver before to try to not get it on their record
@theFallGuy fight it for the reasons Mojo listed and then take his keys for a month. Any lip, take his cell phone too.
Kids’ brains are still maturing, including in measuring risk and danger. Help him stay alive longer. Good luck.
No, sorry, didn’t mean for 40 in a 45. I got 82_83’s post tangled in what’s left of my mind.I think it depends on how bad the ticket was. I didn't take the kid's keys away for going 45 in a 40. I did make him pay for the $66 in court costs (he doesn't know that I put that back into his college savings). I do track his driving habits via an App as well.
Of course, he's not that intelligent. He still thinks we have functioning video cameras inside the house because we have them outside the house. That's why he didn't get too crazy when he was home alone for the better part of 8 days.
Collierville. Going 19 over because he was "late for curfew". Biggest issue is insurance. It's going to be high since he already has points
