I rolled my eyes when Fauci stated that we would never go back to not having to wear masks on planes again. I would much rather step on a plane with no mask for a few hours or so and share germs with a few hundred, than to get on a cruise ship and share germs with 6,000 other people for a week.
To an extent his beliefs on personal freedom is irrelevant. That's not his job, his job is public health. He is a hammer, everything looks like a nail to him. The issue is those above him, starting with Trump, gave only him a voice. Didnt do anything to balance Fauci out. Even if you want to turn it over to the experts to make policy you need to bring in more than one so there is accountability or balance.I can buy that analogy.
I don’t think his feelings on freedom are irrelevant. The lack of value you place it on can enable you to prioritize other items more.
Even the metro system in DC has the airflow thing figured out.Airflow studies heavily suggest that planes can reduce aerosol transfers more than mask wearing just by reversing airflow in the cabin (from top down to bottom up). That conversion would likely add jobs as it ramps up
Instead, wear these cheap ass Chinese masks that don't really do anything.

Trump punted on any type of balance, and Bidens great anti Covid plan was to literally just do what Trump did, but make more noise about it.
The policy makers should never have given up their responsibility of making decisions, because of exactly what was the only outcome that could have happened from putting the director of the NIH in charge.
Meh... not sure about that. I think the same people that beg for safety before getting on a plane at all costs are likely the same people that would accept any measure to fight COVID, to hell with civil liberties in each case.Sidenote: interesting how many of the mask-touting goobers would also likely turn around and criticize the TSA as "theater".
If airplanes had window cranks, I could roll mine down and get fresh air.Airflow studies heavily suggest that planes can reduce aerosol transfers more than mask wearing just by reversing airflow in the cabin (from top down to bottom up). That conversion would likely add jobs as it ramps up

So basically, if you thought thatgetting jabbed up and boostered up would get things back to normalCovid was nothing more than what donnie boy claimed (a case of the snifles)... you were lied to. At what point will you people realize you've been played?
Trump being stupid
Agreed. It's how he got there. But technically this is his one job.Probably splitting hairs and not worth arguing, but I believe personal beliefs do matter. That is why you become a hammer.
So, maybe let people handle this with their own personal physicians, like we do with all the other maladies that befall usAgreed. It's how he got there. But technically this is his one job.
Give me this problem, and I am going to design a building, it's what I do.
Give lawyers this problem and they are going to sue/write a law to fix the problem, it's what they do.
A fraction of the population has had it. A fraction of a fraction of that fraction has had anything beyond minor illness. This is all insane. The sheep that you are leads you to deny this is the case in 99+% of the cases. Why do you discount the personal testimony and records of 10’s of millions who have been infected by it with no repercussions to focus on the handful, in the grand scheme of things, who weren’t as fortunate? A handful that also were of significant age or had significant, accompanying underlying conditions. I’m told him lucky I survived and have no lingering effects while many aren’t so fortunate; no i’m not lucky, I’m the statistical norm. The outliers are the unlucky ones. This late in the game, anyone with an elementary school education should be able to comprehend that its simple math that blows the pandemic up. Yet some of y’all are too lazy, scared beyond rationality, ignorant or mentally broken to do the math. If you’re 70+ get the shot. If you’re 350lbs and you should be 190lbs get the shot (and lose weight). If you’re battling cancer and going through radiation, get the shot. If you’re 42, average weight and have a functioning immune system, live your damn life and drink some hot tea and pop some aspirin when you contract it.
