I don't understand it either both them and UGA have 26 currently signed and are leading for more elite kids to sign. I just don't understand how the numbers work, I thought the SEC had a 25 cap on new signings.

Guess if the rules are legit, then they will have to ask some kids to gitshirt, greyshirt, or whatever... And yes, A&M are obviously breaking some rules, I think I saw they are one of 3-4 schools already being investigated for NIL shady... Just like Ole Miss several years ago coming out of no where with that ridiculous class with Freeze, it came back that they cheated their arses off and got caught... I believe the same for A&M... will be interesting to see if anything comes of it... yes they are good and can pull talent, but you don't go from last year to this year basically signing EVERYONE without shady crap going on...

My son feels confident with rifles atp, (he really is a good shot, keep telling myself I'm letting him win)
Now he's wanting to learn shotguns and I haven't had to buy anything new in .. oof, let' just say the Blackberry was a dream of the future.

Thinking I'll start him with a 20 pump. Obviously want reliable but doesn't need anything too nice, rougher on them than I was at his age.
So, where are all the cool kids shopping these days? Current notorious pieces of junk to avoid?

I mean you can snag the top names pretty reasonable. Mossberg, Winchester, Savage Arms etc. I know the Mossberg Maverick 88 gets high praise, never had one. I have a New England Firearms I've had for 20+ years and it's been great.

Ehhh, this doesn't exactly give me the warm and fuzzies if I am reading that we aren't really working the portal right now unless they know something we don't... too many good kids there right now and if we don't jump, someone else will scoop them up and we may be playing against them next season.

Have to be careful of the guys in portal right now as most quit on their teams mid season or before bowl game. So you need to be selective of who you take right now after vetting why they left.

We took Mincey as we meet RT and he left due to Mullen firing which makes sense. We are heavy after Verse who is just looking for bigger stage to showcase his skills.

This staff pulled most of their transfers during or after spring ball last year. Most these coaches have ideas of who may jump so it is smart to be patient with spots

Every Fulmer basher loved the Pruitt hire. Slurped it up like crazy. Shoot, had he been hired a few years later, his money bag schemes would have been heralded because it was landing and keeping the guys in campus. I love Fulmer, it was ultimately a very bad hire, because Proot sucked at building a program, and he wasn’t really AD material but he doesn’t deserve the excommunication some on here desire. He definitely doesn’t warrant being called a cancer and a POS.

He is and will always be remembered for ushering in a large part of our fanbase and bringing glory to our program. I choose to remember him for that. I have too much hate in my heart for those that have run the program down and other folks in the sport, be he, he’s sort of an untouchable for me… but it isn’t blind, it’s a choice…. unless he does something morally egregious, .

My sad admission:
Given the candidates when Fulmer took over, I may have very well effed up with Pruitt. Remember the hype presentation of the assistants he wanted to eventually land and the fast track we were going to be on.
Maybe alone now, but the post containing said info, was more than a little well received - at the time.

Hypothetical hire if we hadn't dwindled the field the Currie cluster first and the toxic Schianamo stigma, but PF from the start..
Better? Worse? The same? Cutcliffe attempt?

I 100% wanted Currie to bring in Leach.

After that blew up to the level of the boosters/admin trying to put it all on Currie I was pretty much uncaring. I just wanted someone that wasn't going to set us back further and we could coast for another 3 or 4 years before finding a real candidate.

I had high hopes for Fulmer, shouldn't have. The game had sadly passed him by when he was fired as HC and he did nothing in his time away to try and catchup.

So - are we taking 7-10 days off from the posting frenzy for Christmas and then kick into gear for the bowl game? Did I say bowl game? The thing many said would not happen - that the sanctions would get them or they would not win enough games. Instead they get to finish off and exciting Year One with a fresh, great class of VFL's and a thrashing of a mediocre B10 school. I say it's good to be a Tennessee Vol again! How does it now feel to have a really good, experienced QB leading the team into the off-season?

Heup is one of us - a man of the people. Fits in no matter the environment he finds himself. So many on his staff are that way. Love the interviews with all of them. Not attention hounds. Just competent focused, warriors, leaders of men.

Thank you goes to Randy, Donde and especially, Danny. You made things happen when the odds were stacked against you. You solidified Voltello's and Barnes' roles. You've got the Neyland renovation underway. Good times.

While I do agree with your comment, I am wondering if we don’t have someone else back channeled who is going to play his bowl game and then enter the portal that is even better. I think that is why VQ is making the comment about we may wait until after bowl games to see who enters. It almost feels like to me the coaches are telling them to put this out there so that we will be patient, because we already have a plan.

Always love deals but full honesty, part of it is seeing a really nice firearm go thru my son's "care".
Everyone has flaws and his isn't a mystery.

1st thing I did was check family for a umm, cosmeticly challenged used model but no luck. Should've kept a shotgun and handed down while dad got the brand new. For sentimental reasons..
as far as he knows.

I don’t. May get a name every now and again but not that often. I was going off VQ’s statement that they said they weren’t talking to many and probably waiting. I hope that isn’t true.
