His last class as HC was ranked 35th. To put it into perspective, we haven’t had a recruiting class rank that low since.

I’ll always like and respect Fulmer, but there was nothing to indicate that he would have turned it around. It was time for him to go.
However, it should have been handled much better.

Could be wrong, but at the time of Phil’s firing, didn’t we have a top 10 class at the time? Not 100% sure.

Normally we would not see this. From what I can tell the dead period does not apply to one time transfers. I believe Jared said he plans to make a decision before the end of the year which makes sense to get ready for the new semester. We should see some action in the next few weeks with all the available transfers whereas, well, it was typically dead for a month… Waiting on our next Christmas presents…

That’s a sloped earthen embankment under the old concrete bleachers. The field is actually lower than the street level on the west side. Pic below is looking south toward the river…

Shuler, Manning, Martin, Clausen, Ainge. Guess Phil didn’t know what to do with any of those guys either.

He didn’t.. That was David Cutcliff, the only one he didn’t touch was Clausen. Ainge was getting worse before Cut got here, and openly admits he was the reason for his success.

Some of our fans and Fulmer are trauma bonded. The guy should have been fired in 05, then got a miracle when Cut was let go. The minute he left back to .

Fulmer could recruit, but he got lazy after winning the Natty plain and simple.

What guys from the transfer portal have visited so far?

Ryan Callahan:
Jared Verse and Gerald Mincey were the only two last weekend.

The weekend of Dec. 3, Tennessee actually received an under-the-radar visit from Auburn OL transfer Tashawn Manning, who ultimately chose Kentucky.

Those are the only ones we know of so far.

You can hate whomever you want. Fulmer was great for our program as a coach. I will choose to focus on that. He made a mistake with Pruitt. I don't get the hate that so many have for him.
