Seems pretty clear to me that Kiffin thought he was going to be moving up the coaching ladder this offseason and didn't put much effort into recruiting for Ole Miss. Now all the musical chairs have stopped and he's left standing, and the program got absolutely no discernable momentum out of one of the best regular seasons they've ever had. Maybe they will make some noise in the portal, maybe winning the Sugar Bowl will create some buzz (doubtful for beating Baylor), but they look like they're going to revert to the mean next year.

The question on Kiffin is and has been maturity. If this is the case then it is a red flag that he has not grown into being a HC and will likely be a lifelong OC (and be real good at it).

I always thought Whitehead’s film at RB looked better than his LB film. I just never saw him hit with the kind of pop that you want with an SEC LB, and those were highlight videos.

I think Nolen is Walter's brother and he's at Powell for now, but will probably be playing in College Station area next year.

Same observations and worries. And then the rumors that they both insist on offense (I don't know if this is true) (and it could change).

Also, as for TE: blocking is hitting.

22nd is where they had us ranked last I saw, and that was around 9:00 last night.

Y’all keep mentioning Copeland. Is he interested? Are the coaches interested in him? Didn’t he have some flags in HS which was the reason mom wanted him out of state?

I just know he's available with a ton of experience and his mom/family originally wanted him to come here and we were in the final 2-3 with him. Coming out of high school there were mentioned some character concerns, but that was several years ago and I am confident that Heup and staff could/would eliminate any of that if he came on board... He's just a good mix of speed and route running, seems to play with a chip on his shoulder like Juan Jennings, so I think he'd do well here and make an instant positive impact... no idea where we are with him at this point, just hoping...
