Kinda envious of you being over 30 pages behind.
You still have so much good news coming!

That’s where I live. Sometimes it is like Christmas. Sometimes it is like a tax audit.

But the VN RF is always entertaining! 🤠

If I didn’t have a strong ignore list, I would think butch was still the head coach…. 🤔

Swain said that Tyler Baron said he is moving over from DE. Have y’all discussed this possibility already? I’m curious how much weight he will need to add and if he could be effective in that role. I’m always wary when a player has to transform their body to fit a new role.
What position are they moving him too?

No way. Not even FSU would touch that slimeball right now. I think Urban is done. I won't be surprised if more stories start leaking and his reputation is ruined.

Agree totally. With all the money flying around now (coaches/NIL) schools / donors will be a lot more diligent. At least I would……

I'm surprised that opiates aren't safe for you. Tylenol is a terrible drug for your liver.

Tylenol in high doses bad for your liver. I would recommend no more than 3,000mg per day for Weezer. 4,000mg is the LD50. (Lethal dose for 50%) but it takes a long time to accumulate that much damage. Only need 11% of your liver for normal bodily function. That’s why alcoholics can go so long before they get cirrhosis.

Looking at all of the redundancies and incredible amount of abuse the human body can suffer before failure makes me a believer that God is an engineer. Our wonderful body is so over engineered that I am amazed by how we are put together. No way is this evolution. 😇

With that being said, I would implore you to make a pros/cons list for vaping. Trying to get my son to stop (using medical facts) was truly eye opening to me. Until I looked, I had no idea how many cancers that nicotine alone is associated with. It is a strong cardiotoxic substance. It affects blood vessels. It single handedly can stop the healing function of your body. (Why tobacco users look so much older) No ability to heal from life's daily trauma. Then add to that the fact that our lungs are not designed to be coated in oil (vape delivery system). It hasn’t been around long enough to to know the long term consequences. Why be on the forefront of people who will find out in 15-20 years…
You seem like a good person. I will miss you.🙏

He betters his wares each interation. Things change, or, evolve in that manner.

think its time to put the "can't recruit" noise to bed. it's only going to be an easier sell when we win 11 next year with a New Years six bowl. i'm pumped.

My brother had the same reaction when he was told OH was no longer diabetic. In fact, the whole family did. But it happened likely due to the liver failure and kidney cancer. They took him off insulin at the hospital and told him he was no longer diabetic. One of my friends did actuaries and was like you know how impossible that is? I told him OH had beaten heart failure too. He gave me the numbers and was like "beating just one of those is nearly impossible and to beat diabetes you also have to beat insulin dependence and beating both of those conditions is unreal so maybe your stepdad is right and your OH does have nine lives I wouldn't count him out of beating what he's got now too."

OH has gone against common knowledge on most of his conditions. We were in grad school when he developed cardiomyopathy and heart failure. I remember walking in the ER and joking with the doc about WebMD and he said 'well what did you diagnose?" And I said, "well it can only be one of two things: walking pneumonia or heart failure and I'm worried it's heart failure." He said, "well I can tell you right now that it won't be heart failure." A couple of scans and the inability to read his BP on the newer machines because it was so high later and he was the youngest non-congenital case of heart failure UT had ever seen.

There's always oddities in medicine but because things are pretty standard for most other people find it hard to believe -- even doctors -- until they're presented with overwhelming evidence.

Yup, never take away hope.
My Mom was diagnosed with incurable lung cancer that should have killed her within 3 months. 13 YEARS later she passed away from something totally different.
She told me that she would beat it because she wasn’t going anywhere until she got to see my children. My Mom always told me that I could do and be anything that I wanted if I tried hard enough. Then she proved it to me. 🤗

I was in a similar situation about 5 or so years ago (bulging - not herniated) getting ready to meet the surgeon after 3 tries with the shots. i happened upon a series of posts about hemp oil here on VolNation and decided to give it a try first. Never did have that surgery…😊

Thank goodness. Bulging discs should never be operated on.

PSA for VN: the McKenzie protocol is a therapy exercise that can actually help you heal the injured disc. Many times even if herniated! Make the treating doctor send you to a therapist that’s actually trained/certified in McKenzie. Once the pain is gone continue to do the exercise at least once daily for 3-4 months. That’s the true long term fix for an injured disc. It’s such a simple solution that gets relegated to the background. It drives me nuts that “core strengthening “ is the hot therapy treatment (can easily keep the injured disc from healing) and dry needling. New isn’t always better… 🤠

Probably not, but that would be nice!

I’ll be curious to see who we target HS wise for Feb.

Idk. Stuff some mail boxes and see who responds. Recruiting only takes one phone call to get it going.

Sure it's going to be a defensive-centric search probably linebacker.

Good day yesterday. Tennessee finished where they wanted. They planned to take around 20, leaving spots to fish experienced players out of the portal. They’re also leaving the option to self-sanction.

UT has stability among the marquee coaches, and we’re reaping the rewards of that. They’re a tight group, very similar in philosophy and commitment. That’s intentional. UT is going to build a certain way across sports, recruiting a certain type of player and looking for a good fit, good character, solid academics and positive team relationships. The coaches aren’t going to take—or keep-- highly rated players who don’t fit, don’t care about academics, won’t follow team rules and would be disruptive to what UT is invested in doing.

UT is sticking with “the right way” to build, and coaches like Barnes, Harper, Vitello, Weekly and now Heupel show what that is. Some of the players who have left show what it isn’t.
