Yeah I know some guys make it from a HBCU and Deion has friends so may be he'll be ok but I agree not playing in a Power 5 and being touted as the #1 seems kind of suspectI imagine being a Corner, Deion might be able to coach that. But the kid might've hurt his NFL chances some, playing at JS instead of a Power 5 school
I was feeling pretty good about it until I saw Tennessee behind Missouri and Kentucky
Plenty of NFL guys didn't play power 5 ball. That excuse doesn't hold water. Jerry Rice ring a bell? Steve McNair? Just watch player intros before every game, plenty of small college guys playing and have played. If you're good enough the scouts will find you, that's what they do for a living.Yeah I know some guys make it from a HBCU and Deion has friends so may be he'll be ok but I agree not playing in a Power 5 and being touted as the #1 seems kind of suspect
Georgia didn't lose to Alabama because of a disparity in the talent levels between the teams.
If UGA continues to field a pedestrian offense we could definitely find a way to beat them. Hell we competed pretty well this year. The way we scheme it up allows us to compete with more talented teams and if we are around 10th in talent it's definitely possible, with a good QB to knock off anybody. Clemson was recruiting top 5 classes when they started winning titles. That's true.
So with THAT in mind, how does Heupel and staff stack up against others coaching staff in SEC?
Spurrier made the SEC Championship game TWICE with South Carolina and they had a recruiting average of 8th (in conference)...over the years he coached.
Can Heupel get to Atlanta if his staff is recruiting top 15 nationally and 4th in the SEC overall every year?
I saw on the SEC Network they had us 10th and 22nd in the Country, where did they get those rankings when everyone else has us a lot higher.
247 has Tennessee at 14th
Rivals had Tennessee at 11th 5th in the sec.
Rivals has Ky’s total at 1960 and Tennessee’s at 1959……virtually identical (4th and 5th)
247 has Missouri about 7 points ahead of Tennessee and KY at about 9 points ahead of Tennessee.
You do know Georgia averaged more ppg than us right? If UGA continues to field a pedestrian offense we could definitely find a way to beat them. Hell we competed pretty well this year. Yeah by .2 points....You do know Georgia averaged more ppg than us right?
