Regarding that school in Los Angeles vaccinating the kids without parental permission AND TELLING THE KID NOT TO LET HIS PARENTS KNOW…..please tell me why someone isn’t sitting in a jail cell already?????? That is flat out immoral, illegal, and authoritarian. I mean seriously, I do not normally curse…..but WTF?????
Vaccines are good, got mine, but you do NOT administer ANY medical treatment to a minor without parental involvement. Apparently the kid has asthma and allergies. The ONLY person giving that kid should be his own pediatrician who could be there to deal with any allergic reaction and who was privy to his medical history and list of current medications.

I never accused of anyone of condoning it, try to keep up.

I'm simply pointing out the selective outrage of the "fire and prosecute them" crowd losing their minds over this while remaining eerily quiet in the school shooting thread.

But.... won't someone think of the children?

Selective outrage... OK. Random acts of violence vs a coordinated effort by school officials to vaccine children behind their parents' back. Both are evil. Most of the school shootings are done by minors. These vaccinations were done by grown jazzed adults.

See, you're trying to compare the circumstances whereas I'm comparing the reactions to the outcomes.

On one hand you've got a vaccinated kid who got a slice of peperoni and a pissed off parent, and this warrants outrage. On the other you've got a bunch of dead kids and grieving parents - given the reactions in these forums, you guys only seem to want justice for the vaccinated kid.

Actually I wasn’t even referring to your messages and hadn’t even caught up with the thread. I read a news story and came in cold. Your messages were not on my radar.
I find it wise to wise to occasionally remind oneself „maybe it isn’t even about you after all „
I can be outraged about more than one thing at a time btw. Why do we have to rank and compare outrages?

I never addressed anything you said.

Making note of the butthurt about a kid getting vaccinated without permission and contrasting it with the complete lack butthurt days after another school shooting is noteworthy.

I suppose if we're going to pearl clutch over the well being of our "children" a little consistency should be in order.

I was accused of condoning the vaccine being given to the child without parental consent, which I did not do. I also never accused anyone of condoning the school shooting - it was silly reply to a boslter an argument that wasn't being had. Outside of that, I can't understand it for you.

I‘m sorry I thought this was the vaccine thread. Not the school shooting thread. My most sincere apologies for actually commenting on vaccine policy and ignoring the off-topic messages that I wasn’t even aware of in the first place.
Am I required now to read every previous message from the beginning of the thread prior to placing a cold comment on what was on my mind at the moment?
But if you insist….yes, school shootings are VERY bad and are a much more serious issue than vaccine policy in schools.
So now can you acknowledge that maybe schools bypassing parents on medical decisions may be a problem as well?

Not in my interest to do that work.

We were in my office this morning literally talking about our disgust for those parents in Michigan. The parents of the shooter.

You comparison just isn’t good. We now know those parents are trash. The people that run the school system (vaccine issue) aren’t supposed to be trash. In fact, they are supposed to be the opposite.
