Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

Great News..... The hospital I work at suspend their mandate of the vaccine and they actually told the truth about it.
In their memo they actually stated the Vax won't stop the spread or keep you from getting sick. It's to make you less sick if you do get it. I'm proud of them for telling the truth now if only other places will do that too.
Convenient that they admit this only as the federal mandate is suspended.

am I hearing correctly that omicron is believed to have developed in animals - ie. the mutations occurred in animals?

Omicron variant may have evolved in rats, one theory says

if this is correct doesn't this suggest that we'll not only continue to Covid but the mutations will be occurring more rapidly than if mutations just came from human hosts?

calls into to question the "covid zero" policies we see so frequently

Quarantine the critters.
Sequester the stockyards.
Mask the mammals.
Vax the vermin.

Will we end up having booster jabs forever? Here’s everything you need to know
And, if comments from Pfizer’s chief executive are any indication, it’s a campaign that may never end.
“Based on everything I have seen so far,” Dr Albert Bourla said yesterday, “I would say that annual vaccinations... are likely to be needed to maintain a very robust and very high level of protection.”
The CEO of Pfizer thinks that we'll need Pfizer produced boosters indefinitely?

This is why most people are wanting to wait on getting the vaccine. As time passes, we learn more about the side effects and how they could be treated. This would have been sound, reasonable thinking before March 2020...

4 people per million.

I'm going to go out on a limb a say taking asprin creates bigger issues for more than 4 in a million.

If people are waiting because of this and they get sick, LOL.

Eh, I think its all part of their plan, not the gvt in this instance my place of work. Its been 3-4 weeks since they made the announcement, and the deadline for the first shot has passed. I think they were trying to scare people with their jobs to get the first jab. The plan was always going to be to suspended it because of the litigation going on in the courts, and the amount of push back they received.

In their haste to vaccinate humans, they still overlook the fact that animals can be carriers and reservoirs.
