Hiring was a bust in November, even before omicron, with 210,000 jobs added — NPR
The current condition is simply broken. They are reporting record low unemployment out of one corner of their mouth while reporting huge misses on jobs added back. The only rational explanation is that many people simply said to hell with it all which seems to correlate with the circle of people I know. That's because the recent "revisions" were nothing more than people returning to work after their benefits ran out. There was no real new job creation, most of those jobs have remained unfilled for months. Nearly every place you go is either understaffed or underserved, well except in Luther's imaginary world where everything is on the upswing.
So basically, debtors and not savers benefit...Why inflation can actually be good for everyday Americans and bad for rich people
My brain is simply not big enough to understand this article. Thank God our leaders have brought us this financial windfall with their inflation magic.
But on the whole, inflation can actually be a good thing for many working-class Americans, especially those with fixed-rate debt like a 30-year mortgage. That's because wages are going up, which not only empowers workers but also gives them more money to pay down debt. Plus, in the case of a mortgage, your monthly payment will be the same but your house will increase in value.

Brzezinski was referring to data collected from a Virginia-based focus group of voters who had chosen President Joe Biden for president in 2020 and then voted for Republican gubernatorial candidate Glenn Youngkin, the race's winner.
'Democrats are losing really badly on economic issues, and that a lot of Americans care more about economic issues versus social issues and, of course, their health,' the anchor said. 'How do you respond? How do you think the White House can do better?'

Seems to me we are past the tipping point. Doesn’t mean it will always be a Democrat in the WH but it does seem like the power is no longer with “we the people” but with a class of untouchable and invisible elites. At some point, you gotta question the legitimacy of the system. If 2022 doesn't turn out the way it should, then we are a captured nation.
