Clemson is 190 miles from Knoxville and in the middle of prime UT recruiting territory. Norman is 900 miles from Knoxville and basically has to raid Texas. I'd rather face Dabo head to head every decade than have to recruit against him from 190 miles away every year. Or maybe you missed some Knoxville area 5 stars heading to Clemson the last few years.

That'd be interesting once Dabo came to the SEC with Oklahoma. I doubt he wants that. I'd assume Oklahoma could pay him more than Clemson could, but who knows.

From the video of the guy talking to current players they seem to think or want Venables……..we’ll the ones that would say anything. Most said nothing or said they trusted those making the decisions.

However I only remember hearing 1 name and that was from several players.
