Unpopular opinion: If Cincinnati goes undefeated, they should get in to the CFP, despite their weak strength of schedule. They, like Boise state and others of the past, don’t have the opportunity to play a lot of big conference schools because they’ve been relegated to a lower tier because of money.

GA plays Cincy first game.
ND plays Bama second game.

Two wannabes get shown the door and once again prove anything outside the Power 5 can't compete.

So let a 1 loss OSU that's had a weak big10 schedule get in and get sent home. I'd rather see Cincinnati get sent home.

Moment of weakness, just tired of 3A schools complaining they can't get in the 6A playoffs.

It’s not their fault they’re not a Power 5 school. They could have been building a powerhouse for decades now. And the money that comes with it. G5 schools have been left out by no fault of their own. FBS football is not about competition. It’s about a tremendous amount of money for a relatively small number of people.

What's a moment of weakness? OSU? They've had one of them several times haven't they? Didn't Clemson give them a moment of weakness a few years ago in a playoff? Utah a couple of years ago? Ala**** a few years ago?

If they're not going to expand to at least 6, then an undefeated team should get in.

Unpopular opinion, but it's the right one. Lulz.

**I actually don't even care whos in the playoffs if Tennessee isn't one of the teams.. But how great would it be for Cincinnati to actually beat one of those teams? Lol.

Cincy in was a moment of weakness.

But these aren’t different divisions of football like 3A vs 6A. They’re all in the same division. But roughly half of the schools are not eligible for the same opportunities because of TV and bowl money.

Then create Div 1, 2, and 3. Be a champion if that's what you want. If it $$ that the school wants then get into a real conference and compete. This isn't what is happening. They want to be placed into the playoffs based on a weak sister schedule. IF the SEC East rolls out like advertised, then they should just put the SEC East Champ in the title game and let everyone else compete for the other spot.

Some of these schools want to get into a big conference but they've been unable to for reasons outside their control.

Houston wanted to get into Big 12 for years. Texas has blocked that for the past decade. Before that, A&M blocked it.

Memphis has as well. Fred Smith has been willing to write a blank check to get Memphis in. Done 9 figures worth of athletic renovations over past decade.

Cindy and UCF have done 9 figures worth of renovations as well trying to get in. Danny White's main goal was to do that. Ohio State blocked Cincy getting into Big 10 a decade ago and FSU and Miami blocked UCF getting into the ACC.

1. NCAA won’t let the G5 create their own championship.

2. The NCAA does not award a championship in FBS football. It’s the only sport I’m aware of that doesn’t have a NCAA recognized champion.

3. Again, Cincinnati can’t just join whenever they want. They certainly would have joined the Big Ten if given the opportunity. They are apparently joining the Big 12 now that Oklahoma and Texas are leaving. Thus making the Big 12 a lesser conference.

Opportunity does not exist equally for everyone in FBS football.

So what are you saying (opinion), should they be in the playoff and get their asses handed to them or be satisfied with getting passed over.
My opine: I hate the CFP system and would rather just go back to the BCS. Makes other bowls more attractive and I don't need a "clear" champion. Anything more pushes Football into a 16+ game season. I'm not a fan.

No. What I’m saying is college football needs a complete overhaul that allows for equal opportunity without attempting to guarantee equal outcome.

Granted, this will never happen because money runs everything.
