I hear all of that... and it still should have been done outside the presence of the jury.It might surprise you to realize I understand the argument you are trying to make. What I'm poking some fun at is this idea that there's some great legal injustice in having a veteran pointed out as being a veteran and being lauded as such on literally the national holiday set aside to do so. Especially as the question of who would be included in the recognition was extended to the entire courtroom.
Upshot is I pretty much reject there was anything gained by the defense in this as any credibility as an expert witness is going to be established in presentation of bona fides prior to testifying and not a round of applause for being a veteran on VD.
Our company (Walnut Creek, CA) website had a slideshow with every single Vet in our company & their story, I am going to have to bash them for grandstanding! If you mean "knew what he was doing" was open the morning on VD with a call to acknowledge veterans in attendance I agree. From there I'm sensing speculation. Are you going to reach for more of that prescience you've been accused of recently and assert that if anyone other than Dr Black had indicated being a veteran there wouldn't have been a call for applause?
Option 3: some of you are really, really obsessed with this… is that because the media is too?You tell us. Were you lying and just making stuff up or gullible and read more flat out wrong information? Another poster already replied to you with the actual recount of what occurred. Hint: it was nothing near what you claimed.
There isn’t an option three here. And nobody believes your reply on this.Option 3: some of you are really, really obsessed with this… is that because the media is too?
I’m going off what I’ve heard by word-of-mouth at work, if that info is wrong then so be it. Haven’t watched a single news report or one minute of this trial and likely won’t. If you’re THAT in tune with this that you can recite the details, maybe you should stop pointing fingers and ask yourself if your attention is being steered.

I don’t personally hate that kid, I hate that his mom drove him across state lines into the middle of a riot and dropped him off with a loaded rifle. How dumb is that?
Hell naw! If I buy that one a ticket...... it’s one way! He can find his own way back here once he realizes how twisted his people are.Why do you need return tickets when you can just walk back across the border? Spend a little time down there with your buddies, you know the ones that are flooding across the border, they're friendly. They won't shoot your ass.

I didn't comment on the evidence or the facts of the case... just Judge Schroeder's lack of professionalism at times.Gtfoh. The evidence is there. The video is there. There’s no way you can convict this kid

I agree that Kyle Rittenhouse should be acquitted of the charges. He should also leave the duties of law enforcement and medical emergency officials to the trained professionals... at least until he becomes one. They don't need his help. People like him, as well-intentioned as they may be, only further complicate matters during protest marches, violent demonstrations, riots, incursions, etc.

They absolutely DO need his and anyone else’s help. We all do! Have you not been paying attention? There were no police there and if there were they weren’t getting involved. Why? One of two reasons. Either they were too short staffed because some quit due to the leftist political BS making it impossible to do their jobs or they were already defunded. Either way, not one cop. And I disagree. People like him keep peace if they know you’re not F’in around. Kyle doesn’t “look” like a kid that would be willing to do what he did but that only adds to the reasons you don’t judge a book by the cover. As it is right now the left are able to run rampant and that’s why cities are burning.I didn't comment on the evidence or the facts of the case... just Judge Schroeder's lack of professionalism at times.

I would understand the point of it wasn’t Veterans DayThe way I look at it, when a judge engages in extracurriculars in front of the jury, he gives somebody one more argument to appeal. You may think its an open and shut case, and from what I've read, one guy already admitted to pointing a gun at him, but why would a judge want to do things like this in front of a jury. Rittenhouse will probably not be convicted, but now his lawyers have one more issue to deal with if the state appeals.
Kyle Rittenhouse was not a member of a well-regulated militia, such as the National Guard. Under what regulations was Kyle Rittenhouse serving that night? Rittenhouse's role was much closer to that of a vigilante, but even vigilantes can be acting in self-defense when they shoot people.Sounds like he was part of "well regulated militia" and the others not so much. We need more of this to counter the looters, vandals, rioters, etc.
There were police there. Rittenhouse lied about being an EMT to remain on the scene. The trained professionals do not need this type of assistance, and will tell you so. Wanna help? Stay at home. They absolutely DO need his and anyone else’s help. We all do! Have you not been paying attention? There were no police there and if there were they weren’t getting involved. Why?
