Tennessee Vols: How Josh Heupel kept his promise to his players

Earlier this season, Heupel pointed out that he allows Tennessee’s leadership council to help pick out the uniform combination each week.

“Uniform combinations that show up on gameday, our (player) leadership council, on Sundays they come in and have medical treatment, those guys are a part of picking out what we wear for the following game,” said Heupel in October. This is how you keep a team bought in. It’s how you build a great culture.

Heupel loves Vol fans and Tennessee’s great traditions, but it’s ultimately all about the players on the field going to battle each week.
