Now is the perfect time to make a move to re-take parts of our former territory, starting with the Carolinas. We should get whoever we want when it's down to us and USC, we've re-established our dominance over them. NC is trending down as far as product on the field; they were preseason top 10, and they may lose their 5th tonight...another season like this next year, maybe, I doubt Brown stays around much longer...even if he does, we should be able to outrecruit him if we're rocking and rolling, and they're sputtering (I hope we get a bowl against them). I believe Clemson bounces back, but going head to head with them for Carolina kids, we'll always have the advantage of playing in the SEC...if we're winning, we can start beating them for talent.

That leaves UGA...we continue making noise, a lot of Carolina talent, if history holds, will be more apt to come to Knoxville than Athens. UGA is gonna get there's, and its gonna take awhile for us to truly get our foot back into Georgia a bit, like we use to, especially as long as Kirby is there; but, we HAVE TO shut the Carolinas off to them the best we can, and establish out presence yet again in those two states.

I think now is also the perfect time to see how the state of Florida truly feels about Heupel. Make a MAJOR push into that state, MAJOR resources...all 3 of Florida’s big dogs are garbage, and now is a perfect time to move in and plant a massive flag.


Jmo, major dollars, time, focus, etc would be aimed at these three places. The way the landscape is laying today, and projecting...these three states are ripe for the picking. Bama and UGA are going to get theirs, still enough talent between North and South Carolina and Florida to get us back even quicker, and I believe we can get it.

Of course, all this hinges on us continuing to trend upwards and winning football games. I've always said that relationships are the most important aspect of recruiting...thats only because winning goes without saying.

I want UNC in the Music City Bowl. I was at the last one when we got hosed on the Janzen Jackson call. We would beat them by 20 this time. That was the worst I have ever seen us get screwed by refs at a game I was at.

Edit.... in case you do not remember UNC had 4th and a mile and threw a long pass that JJ broke up. JJ got called for targeting. UNC scored and won
