Can Georgia really go the whole way without a scare? Clemson closest game and that was week 1. TN only team on their schedule even capable of providing that scare until sec championship . I feel like every title team normally has to overcome the one game that has them on the ropes and they either grab destiny or watch it fly away.

My Mom and Stepdad dying so abruptly when they were so healthy shook me to my core...I am going to live, working is not living. You spend your whole life scratching and clawing for what amounts to dust. If I have to spend every last dime...I am going to see these places I have dreamed of before I go.

I remember when your mom left and I remember how it effected you. My heart felt for you and your family (yes, I remember the aftermath also). Seeing El Cap from right there at the bottom is mind boggling...Yosemite as a whole is freaking unreal. You need to put a trip there on high priority.

Yeah, that view when you first come into the valley where you can see El Cap, Bridal Veil Falls, Half Dome, all that stuff standing in one place, it’s just mind-boggling. Never seen anything to match it.

I’d known of and seen pics of El Capitan but when I stood there and saw it the first time I was utterly captivated by it, still am, just that mass of granite running 3000’ straight up, it hardly makes sense. Then to watch Honnold scoot up it like it’s a damn gym wall, don’t even know how to process that.

My father had a spell driving down the interstate thankfully no one was injured in the wreck but he was airlifted to Vanderbilt possible heart attack they are running tests. He didn’t know where he was and doesn’t remember much other than making a trip to pick up his meds in town. Got confused drove past his exit about 50 or so miles and hit a guard rail. Due to covid protocols I can’t be there with him. My brother is there. It’s wearing out my nerves with not knowing what’s happening as it happens. He is alert now so he is improving but I would still very much appreciate y’all thoughts and prayers.

I hope Heup has UGAs big DL running from sideline to sideline. With the hurry up offense we can hope that it tires them out. Like to see some screens and no running up the middle. That is not going to work. On D blitz all game, got nothing to lose. If Tn can get up on them by- 14-21 and get them gassed and doubt starts setting in then Tn has a chance. If last weeks D shows up then it will be a bad day.

I don’t know about the screen game out wide. They press which means those WR screens in the flats are prone to go the other way for a pick 6. I’m not really sure how you attack this defense successfully, except going fast like we do and making things confusing for them. Maybe screen game in middle of field? Mizzou had success running the ball between the tackles. I think that’s the only way you can run it, because they have too much speed to go sideline to sideline. Maybe we install a speed option attack. We will definitely have to make some first downs early in order to keep going fast and get their DL tired. I really hope we win the toss and go on defense first. For some reason, our best games have been going on defense first and calling aggressively to stop the opposing offense and turn the ball over to the offense. Then go down and score. It seems like Saturday night was one of the only times we got the ball to open the game and went down to score.

I agree about how to call the defense. We absolutely need to be aggressive every single down and play with nothing to lose. Blitz, blitz, and blitz some more from every possible angle….corner blitzes, nickel blitzes, safety, inside LB. Stunt the DL. Get creative on wreaking havoc and disrupting the flow of their offense. Will we get burnt some? Yes, but that is a lot better than being gashed every single drive for the entire drive and still giving up scores. We will create some turnovers too, as well as cause penalties. This is the game plan that I think gives us the best outside chance to be in the game in the 4th quarter with a chance to win.

Ahhh, thank you. Read about this last year and forgot to check it out. I gotta watch it now. Looks good. Have you seen Meru? Jimmy Chin, who shot Free Solo, is in it. Really good.

Yes, watched Heart of Darkness some time ago. Pretty cool, they did some crazy s..t back then to capture that movie. Coppola made some incredible movies.

Yeah think I did see Meru but I'll have to double check. I think all these climbing movies are fantastic and I wouldn't free solo beyond 5 feet and probably even past 50 with a harness.

Sometimes I think the name of a team gets in your head. Clemson had been good for a while, and one of the best Georgia teams I have ever seen played meh against them. After that, Clemson was exposed as a mediocre team. As for Georgia/Tennessee, until Pruitt, this has been a pretty good rivalry, we have won or played close on many occasions, good bad or ugly. I don't know how their immovable defense will stack up against our speedy high scoring offense. I'm sure Hype realizes we have to play extra fast.. I don't expect to win, but I hope we are competitive. SEC Championship? I think Georgia might beat Bama, but just like Clemson, Bama's past reputation sometimes plays tricks with a team's head.

I remember when Apocalypse Now came out. It was said then that the movie was roughly based on the Conrad novel.

Yup the documentary goes into that quite a bit. He mixed the novel with Vietnam and the psychedelic movement. It caused a bunch of rewrites because he was afraid it was straying too far from the novel and more just about Vietnam.

It just now hit me - our offense had a really good game penalty-wise. Of course only having to run a couple dozen plays helps...but I don't remember many either way.
