if you can't crack the two deep with a defense this thin... probably not a very good player.. in his defense, i wish we could have left him on the outside rushing the passer

He wouldn't even put in the work to do that. He needed to add a good 25-30 pounds to play that role in the SEC. Hell Roman has put in the work to bulk up enough to do it, Morven was in year 2 he obviously didn't want to do it.

Yeah I don’t get it. It’s not like he did that to his bare head. Those helmets are.. well.. helmets. You won’t even feel anything like that lol

Not a surprise he portaled-- just left a bit early. Sometimes an emotional decision after feeling left out.

My old golf instructor duct taped my hands on the club.....so I couldn’t go back to my “strong grip.”
He would also tape a pocket knife pointed at the back of my left hand......to keep me from “flipping” my wrist on pitch shots.

I miss those guys. They made sure I paid attention and did what was right. And guess what. My parents, nor I, ever whined about it.

Hell, when I was in elementary and middle school we did that while teachers watched. We’d tackle each other hard as hell, no pads or helmets. As long as no one broke anything they didn’t care.

Then all the anti bullying initiative stuff kicked in and they made sure everyone played nice so the 5’2 110lbs nerd could feel better about himself not being athletic

Ahhhh grandads. Gotta love ‘em.

I was going out once to play golf on a rainy day and he asked why. I said, “ I’m not made out of sugar. I won’t melt.” He said, “ no, you’re not, but sh!+ runs when it gets wet.”

Kinda unrelated but this reminded me of a teacher I had in middle school. Me and one other guy were class clowns giving the guy hell. He was in his 70s, and tried to ignore it or try to be nice. One day he just snapped and said “you two jackasses can either shut up and listen or get out of the classroom. I’m old enough not to care about losing my job, but y’all are too young to not care about getting expelled.”

He became one of my favorite teachers after that. Had my upmost respect. I even went to his funeral a few years ago.

Big weekend for the Vols. Homecoming on the Hill and SEC Nation in town. Now that we're upswinging, Finebaum is willing to claim us again. UT is beefing up security to make sure he doesn't get a golf ball to the head.

Mix in Jordan Rodgers, Gary Danielson and Marty Smith, and it'll be quite the day. I'm sorry I won't be there... but can't wait to see the signs. I trust they will be creative.

Taking my kids to their first game at Neyland that day as well. Was not expecting a night game.

Will be there! Taking my girls to their first football game.
Not sure my littlest can last through the whole thing, but we'll see. Go Vols!!

Remember the 1st time that I took mine, you guys are in for a treat. The best part about bringing the kids - we adults can get caught up in the game, the little ones will appreciate every ounce of the atmosphere and it's contagious.
