They did that on more than one play, why?

When the refs don't call it "tripping" it is basically a cut block, but better because there is less chance of missing. The intent is to force the defenders to get their hands down (to brace themselves against the cut block) so that they can't bat the ball down. The defender in this case was still able to get hands up, but he wasn't able to time it up to be effective.

TOP is overrated
We won and had the ball 13 mins which shows the top argument with this offensive scheme is blown out of proportion, it’s overrated like Hyams

Yeah, it's not complicated.
The better team is NOT a byproduct of TOP.
TOP is *usually a byproduct of the better team.
Sustained drives + 3 & outs = you have the ball more. (duh). But that's not because the coaches are telling players "don't score on this play"

That leaves tempo. Absolutely 1 of the reasons we're winning while out-gunned. But I could see those arrogant blowhards promoting "losing.. the right way".🙄

Miserable bastards have made bank on a struggling TN.

Dobbs was better
Hooker is good but Dobbs just flat out balled.
Dobbs was a better runner and moved in the pocket better.

Hooker is a better passer.

All around at this moment I agree Dobbs is better but if Hooker can learn to move in the pocket instead of stand there flat footed he would be better.

Didn’t watch the game but exclusively looking at stats (outside of score) it looks like Mizzu gave UGA some fits. Their fans seem let down with the recent offensive line play.

I haven’t either, but I’ve been thinking about starting it. Let me know what y’all think

Yellowstone is just a shot for shot remake of the 80s show Dallas. In every scene someone shouts “Who shot J.R.?” and then another guy drives up in a new truck then they go fishing and someone talks about cattle. Now you’re caught up.

My two cents on the Titans.

Early in the season I could not see the Titans ever being where they are now, especially on D. Even the O was bothering me since the O-line is so marginal at OT and has no dominating TE. I was down on Vrabel and J-Rob was losing his shine. Yet, here they are.

When they drafted Brown and Simmons after taking King Henry, I had great hopes. When they signed Autry and Dupree to go with Landry proving himself - yeah, now we are talking. Getting pressure on the QB is always the key to better secondary play. Always hated having to go against Autry at MSU and the Colts. Simmons was the best #1 pick J-Rob has made, so dominant. Just needed to recover from that bad knee injury and it takes a couple of years to get that done well. Which is also Lewan's issue.

Chris Jackson has been a surprise. He is a royal pain in the azz to receivers. Molden was always a no-brainer to me - the kid can play the game. He understands what is happening and is willing to mix it up. Byard is and has been the best safety in the game. But I am also seeing the D scheme and calls evolve. So, is Jim Schwartz the man behind the curtain? Tend to think he is.

The drafting/FA signing needs are still obvious on this team. But they compete and win more than they lose year after year now. That's a culture thing. Cap tip to Amy, J-Rob and Vrabel for that. Vrabel still has those WT😀? moments. But the team sells out for him.

Cannot imagine how high this team will be flying if they get King Henry back healthy for the playoffs. Will see how well he heals.

Goooooood Morning VFLS! Hope everybody had a great weekend. Gotta say, I haven’t felt this way about TN football moving forward in a long time.

Ky played their game plan to perfection except for the final 2 minutes. They dominated TOP, and kept TN off the field the best they could and they still got beat. That just goes to show, if we can consistently stay somewhere around the Top 20 recruiting, we will be a team that others FEAR. Hell they already fear playing us.

It’s amazing how much this team has turned around since JH has taken over. Good days ahead folks, hope y’all have a GREAT WEEK

Can somebody provide stats for the first 6 starts for both guys?
