Strike zone was not monitored as much since the technology wasn't there. Umps were free to call the corners as they saw fit as long as you hit the target.

If Josh Heupel beats Bama the entire game is changed. Would be more than just a “regular season” win. That would be the biggest win since FSU. Recruiting and the entire trajectory of the program is changed.

“Significant Wins” in college football. Beating Bama would be awesome. Then Georgia beats us by two touchdowns and the country stops caring.

If TDA is replaced by Shea due to injury, then TDA is not eligible for WS. Then if Shea or Willie get hurt, there are no other catchers available to replace either leaving Braves with 1 catcher. Its a gamble to replace TDA, but I would probably take it. And I would start Willie tonight against Buehler' fastball.

I’m not. I’d love to beat Bama. But if they hypothetical is “win a pennant for your favorite sports team period” or “win college football game to go 5-3 instead of 4-4” give me option 1 every damn time

I mean I love Tennessee Athletics too. It’s in my top 3 (Braves and Lions). But I’m not giving up a guaranteed pennant for any regular season college sports win lol

Yes. You realize the National talk wouldn’t be Tennessee is back it would be “what’s wrong with Alabama!”

I mean if we beat Alabama, but lose to Georgia and Kentucky, 90% of fans won’t care in three weeks. Either Heupel is the guy or he isn’t. Beating Alabama won’t change that.
