Media Picks Kentucky to Win 2022 SEC Title
No 1st or 2nd team All SEC seems odd to me, but I guess it makes sense considering our best player is a true freshman, and Fulky wasn't himself last season.

Also, lol at picking Kentucky to win the SEC. And weird that a Vandy player is preseason SEC POY.

I’m actually glad they can acknowledge the best player in the league doesn’t have to play for one of the best teams. Pippen Jr is good and I could see him living up to that billing. And the Vols have so much depth and are so well balanced that I don’t think this team is really set up for any one guy to shine in particular.

I think he declared for the draft and there was speculation that if he withdrew that he might transfer but I don’t think he actually did

Kentucky is such a safe pick. I doubt they’re as good as their roster suggests. Alabama would be my pick. They return a lot of production and add a top-PG prospect to the mix and some other nice pieces.

Top 3 is a toss-up. Maybe even the top 4 if you think Arky can really be good.

He averaged 12/7 in the postseason last year as a freshman and is a beast on defense. Expected JD Notae to make it before him though honestly.

Pippen is really good but I can't see them actually giving it to a player on a team that finishes so low even if he deserves it. Awards now in every sport are 80% popularity contests.

Agree. Hatred for Kentucky and/or passionate love for Tennessee causes some people to make questionable decisions. UK returns 5 guys who started games last year, adds 4 impact transfers and a top-10 recruiting class. They’re going to be good. In terms of returning players, UK and Tennessee have exactly the same number.

No kidding. Tennessee is easily among the top 3-4 and anyone of them could win it and nobody on the Tennessee forum is picking them?
