The Official Tennessee vs. #13 Ole Miss Game Thread, 7:30 PM ET, SEC Network

Those of you complaining about the fans, boo hoo. That's more of an indictment of the school. I for one am super happy with the performance of the team and coaching. The future looks possibly bright for Tennessee football.
You’re clearly on another level than the average fan on here! They are ready to fire the coaches and think an unranked Vols lost to #13 with a great QB because the coaches called bad plays.
They can’t understand how having 2 starting OL out can have an impact on offensive execution and why we don’t score every time

I'm not even mad at Milton..
Mad at the staff for calling a bad and stupid game
Game was winnable
Could have been better.... Yes. I wonder sometimes if even a good staff doesn't have to get used to this league and what it takes to win. Hopefully some lessons were learned tonight, but lets not forget that we only have 72 scholarship players, and some key player out of the game. We aren't deep enough to absord injuries. Players made some mistakes tonight as well so it's not all on the staff. Let's hope for progress and see where we are in a couple of years. The team showed some fight. That's a good thing.

TY Exactly what I saw. HE was not in any position to make that call as to ball placement. Look at the tape and you will see the other line judge show he got the 1st down!
I’ve been watching the replay a few times now. I think the other line judge ran in and was trying to judge where that sideline ref was spotting it. Didn’t look like anyone else was trying to call a spot.

Ref ran in from the sideline a yard short, they convened, and marked it a yard short. Probably asked each other did you see anything? No? No? Ok the spot called from the Tennessee 40 on the sideline 20 yards back is what we go with.

Sure. But the spot was somewhat accurate. He had the ball tucked while reaching out his other arm for the first down. Unpopular opinion but the when you use multiple angles, it was more likely he was short of the line than on it/ over it

I hate to say it but it was definitely short since he kept it in his left hand

NO. Bowling balls, lawn darts and M-80 firecrackers!

The thing is though? Any narrative about the officiating that would have happened is now overshadowed by the fan's behavior.

Tonight was unacceptable on so many levels. I want to go back and see how many ole miss players went down with "injuries." That shouldnt have been allowed. And then, I want a legitimate explanation on why that wasnt a strip sack on Corral. That and the missed FG was all of the difference.
I do not understand why the talking heads are not even giving lip service to all the flopping. THAT caused the fan anger. They must find a way to stop that BS.

What suxks is if Milton doesn't pus out and run outta bounds sticks his foot in the ground heads towards the endzone VERY VERY good possibility he rumbles in for a td.Theirs was nobody on his inside when he went outta bounds damn near clean path.Pathetic and soft no matter how u cut it.Corral stuck his shoulder down got that Td promise u that!Great team fight loved it qb bs at the end tho,no heart!
