I’m still not sure what the explanation was. Did anyone blow the whistle. The head ref apparently didn’t because he let the play continue.

Whistle never blew. They said that Corral “gave himself up” and therefore the play was dead. Probably the dumbest thing I’ve heard. He was actively trying to get away from the sack.
