Recruiting Forum Football Talk IV

I have read some of their threads on their 247Sports forum and their Fighting Gamecocks Forum. They are saying the same thing on both of those furums. Basically, if they had converted the 2 point conversion and/or scored the time they did the trick play and got intercepted in the end zone that the score would have been UT 31 USCjr 29. They also took away our TD that we scored from that interception in the end zone off the board. There are some on their board that said we took our foot off the pedal in the second half and we could have scored 60-70 points on them, but those are few and far between. I remember people doing those mental gymnastics on here during the last 12 years too.
It's really no different than people saying we stay in the Florida game if Callaway doesn't drop that pass.

At the end of the day the score speaks for itself imo.

That doesn’t mean the media has access though. Someone clearly leaked them or provided them to media outlets.

The NFL sent emails to the raiders.

The raiders didn’t get rid of him, so the NFL let the WSJ get the emails.

They slow played it again, goodell sent 7 more years of emails to the WSJ.

Goodell works for the owners.

The dots are connected.

So if I had some ham, I could have a ham and swiss sandwich, if I had some swiss. And bread. And of course, mayo.

If Tennessee wins the toss on Saturday night do they take the ball to start or take it to start the 2nd half?

Against Mizzou and SCar, we have deferred. We made big stops on their opening drive, marched down the field and scored. It seems like that takes the pressure off the offense and they play loose. However, both times it seems like our second-half drives stalled and didn’t get going. So it’s a net-zero effect I guess. I don’t know, good Q. I’d say defer.

If we had scored more points than Florida and Pitt we would be undefeated.I read on another media outlet where an Alabama fan said they didn’t lose to A@M,they just ran out of time.

Our offense has consistently stalled when there have been long pauses prior to taking the field, be that pregame, halftime, or timeouts.

for me, i think it's got to do with the fact that we've seen OM do what they're doing for a full season, plus. we've seen 2 games of it for TN.

so who should you have more confidence in? the one that's been doing it longer or the new guy? so i get that, and don't disagree with it.

but on football alone, we're capable of matching points with Ole Miss, and if we continue the relatively mistake free play we've shown the past two weeks, Ole Miss's defense isn't going to stop us a ton. i expect we'll run a lot, and wear out that defensive front, and take our shots as they come available. so if you don't have drive killing penalties or turn it over....it could be a basketball game.

defenisvely , well, this is a way more difficult match up than we've faced all year. Pitt's offense is obviously very good. but they don't play the tempo and they're not as apt to getting the gigantic plays from their offense that OM can/will. it's going to be interesting to see how Banks calls this game.

in the end, i think this game winds up high scoring, but not the 80+ points....mid 60's-70, and i think this game comes down to something in special teams...missed fg's, return game...something.

i'm nervous, but not because of the football team we're playing. i believe we can play with this team. it's because of the situation. this is a huge opportunity for TN. and i'd really like to see us take advantage of it, and not pucker up and squander it like we've done more times than i can remember.

Yuup.
Eas comfortable at no expectations.
Now, it's "how good of a bowl and this could advance us years, especially with cruits."

Stomach is tightening and it's not the usual! Lol

Yea, that is leaking emails. All I was saying was there wasn’t any way for the media to get them other for them to be leaked. They aren’t subject to a FOIA request.

My initial response was to the person who said someone had it out for Gruden.
No that person didn’t have it out for Gruden, he was protecting the NFL shield from further workplace discrimination law suits. That person was Roger Goodell.

That’s taking a shot?
It is him running us down based on how bad we have been and also insinuating that we don't support our team. Might not be true, but I take everything he says in the most negative light possible because he left us twisting.

I like how we went from “golly gee, I hope we get a first down” to “I’ll get redneck mad if we don’t put up 40+ points” in no time flat.
i go back and forth, from series to series.

Ehh, Gruden is a dumb dumb, but I think it can legitimately be discussed as to how it was handled.
