The Atlanta Braves

Z’s official pitching plan after some research and much thinking:

Minter: 1-2 innings
Ynoa: 2 innings
Smyly: 2 innings
Chavez: 1 inning (if Minter only gives you 1 OR have to pull Ynoa/Smyly early for PH/bad performance)
Fried: 2 innings
Smith: 1 inning

Short leash on everyone. If Minter goes 20+ first inning go to Ynoa. Matzek/Luke for one batter to get out of a jam or extra innings. If Ynoa or Smyly going 6 up/6 down you can give them an extra inning with a lead. Let the pitcher bat first time through if nobody is on base. If a leadoff situation or runners on use Arcia. Don’t use Charlie, save for G5.
Lol no thanks 😂 😂😂😂😂

“Don’t use Charlie” 😂

Honestly, why not go Ynoa one time through then go Chuck. Hopefully they can cover the whole game, but if not, throw *puke* Smyly. Save Luke Matzek and Will for Game 5 just in case.

Pitchers on three days rest starting especially in their 30’s historically struggle. It’s nothing against Morton. I just believe our best chance to win is to play matchups and bullpen this thing.

Only problem is, mapping out 5-6 pitchers is a recipe for disaster as it only takes one 3 spot and you’re done

It’s definitely a concern. You get what happened in Tampa last night and you’re ****ed. They’re both risky. I guess my thinking is if you’re wanting just 3-4 from Chuck and are gonna pull if he gets in major trouble…might as well just save him for Game 5.

Plus, the other thing is today is Fried’s side day. He’s been nails in relief situations. You can get 2 out of him as well and not mess up his routine and potentially use him 5 if things go awry.

You would you rather go down with Morton or Minter and Jesse fing Chavez. It’s the postseason don’t overthink it. Give the ball to big time players and let the chips fall where they may

It’s not who I want to go down with. It’s about giving myself the best odds to win. Minter/Chavez have been really good the last two months. Smyly has been good out of the pen and the Brewers suck against curveballs.
