Good win, jumped on them early and had our way in the 1st half. Did it more in the air this week but ran Hooker a lot.

We took our foot off the gas in the second half. That and SC made some adjustments but we got too conservative. I don't see that being the case moving forward.

The defense continues to look solid. We finally got some pass rush and gave up 13 points. I'll take that everytime.

A few things to clean up: give up alot sacks. Those sacks was more so on Hooker tho, he had time and held on to the ball too long. Not sure if the WRs weren't getting open or if he was missing them.

Also, idk what's going on with our special teams. After starting the season on fire we gave up a TD in consecutive weeks. We have to clean that up, that may cost us a game in the future.

We need Small and I would assume he will be a go moving forward after not playing today and barely playing last week. Evans #1 but after him you can notice the drop off if Small is out.

Overall, we took care of business against a team we were better than. These performances make the Pitt lost even worse bc we are definitely better than Pitt and gave that game away.

It was a quasi special teams/defensive touch down that they gave up on the punt. Some of the defensive players were in, and for some reason, Burrell didn’t follow his man. I guess they thought the punter couldn’t throw it that far or at least attempt a shorter pass. He just flat didn’t move from his spot.

Ole Miss can score with anyone. Ole Miss couldnt stop local Knoxville high school teams. Corral is going to be a problem, kid is gonna run around and make plays, he has to be kept in the pocket. TN run game should eat next week.

On the final scoreboard show Troy Fleming pointed out that Erik Ainge had earlier in the week said on his radio show that we wouldn’t be scoring 28 points in the first quarter against South Carolina. Troy said his son was listening to Erik’s show that day and he said he really wanted to prove that guy wrong. Erik conceded he was wrong.
