I believed that AV was speaking with people in the know. I believe that he loves his university and that people told him we were putting all our chips on the table for the "big fish" (all but confirmed that it was Franklin, right?). I think that he loves UT so much that he didn't think there was any way that the big fish would turn us down with so much on the table. I bet we were pretty close, closer than we'll ever know. Or he's an optimist and was filling in a lot of unknowns with narratives that drove conversation and built his value among the fans. He wasn't on here every 5 minutes trying to get likes. He wasn't teasing or dangling a carrot for traffic to his site or podcast or Youtube channel, or Twitter account.

I think that we were close, and he was excited, he came here to celebrate with fans because it was all but done. And then pen never met paper and people treated him like he was a liar, and that was that.
It was Franklin until it wasn't and they had Elliot on hold, as a back-up, but they kept him on hold until his people told him he would be committing a serious career suicide by coming here. I would have bailed on UT if they brought Franklin here. That guy is pond scum in my book. It all fell apart after Franklin said no and then Elliot backed out too. I believe White didn't want to circle back and start the process again so he turned to someone he was comfortable with and the rest is history. I believe we lucked into something that can be really big for us down the road.

Or he was just a college student with friends who played. I did blow with Deon Cain at Clemson once. It’s not hard to find dirt on football players if you’re in their circles. Most college students just had the courtesy to not air it out.

Yes all of that is very common and not talked about. All athletes drink, smoke, blow, hookers, strippers, etc etc. Not all, but a lot. Photographs are really what will get you in trouble, ask Urban lmaoooo

I cannot stand Franklin. He's lower than pond scum IMO.

Is it wrong I'm laughing at Elliot's resume taking a hit this year? Clemson's offense has not looked good.

Maxims? That makes total sense now. AV vouched for him also…

AV didn't vouch for MIT. There were names/name brought up that one would only know through a private club, and AV said that was correct. AV assumed that he must have been someone close to a big booster but never vouched for him.

Not sure about that

Not sure about that

I recall it. They were discussing the Honors.

I believe MIT was used to create a stir with the social media platforms about changing the good old boy booster club. His info about coaches was wrong and didn't matter. But his objective was to change the hierarchy of those influential people who helped the AD make decisions.

Hmm. You sure? I’ve seen our helmets up close in person and I didn’t see any specs. Just gloss White.
They actually do have black specs in them.

These are actually our current white helmets, just some updated trim work by the staff to get them to look FIRE AF with the black unis.

I’m confused… so you’re saying MIT was a legit booster? What do you mean he was used?
