we already done did paid for these things.I have an idea. How about the Vols wear orange jerseys, white pants and white helmets with the Power T against SC and Ole Miss and kick their butts.
I like Chizzle’s idea of the all blacks but with orange lining around the raised numbers or however he described itthese aren't official, but here's an idea of what we might see this weekend...
Do we just not have any creative ass people in the AD? Who picks the designs and then looks at these and says, "Yeah these fireeeee af"
trash can.

I knew about all the different types of black, but the Nike color pallete is intresting. I'm guessing it's a contract thing? Could we add black at some point? And I know you said it was a process but is smokey gray still in the pallette and could we pull it out again? You'd be surprised at the variables involved with sourcing black helmets. Matte, shiny, high gloss, jet black, dark black, medium black, light black, smoky black, cool black, warm black, solid black, gradated black, metallic black, black accents...
Black isn't on the official Nike palette, so even getting black vs. dark gray ("Smokey X") number outlines was a process. Even spray painting is an ordeal with rigid guidelines. Just ask Notre Dame.

All joking aside, do you think we'll be able to keep up with other schools when it comes to NIL deals? Bama's QB is supposedly making insane money. Clemson's QB did a Dr. Pepper commercial. I know we don't currently have any superstars to rate that kind of exposure, but if we can land a big fish, do we have money people that can and will make it happen?
I want to see this combo on the road. Add some smokey to the top to go with the helmet/pants and it would be fireeee.

That looks nice.just adding the smokey helmet makes it look much cleaner.

It's cool that UT is working on it. But I get it it's a brand thing, plus if Nike is working with 50 schools and 40 of them want something not in their pallete every other week, things can get messy.UT has been working with Nike on alts for quite a while. Primary palette is orange, white and smokey gray, with the dark gray used for black and numerous accent colors approved for promo materials. The dark gray is really a lighter black-- just not as rich as most would like. It's amazing how complicated and detailed a brand style guide gets-- and how rigidly it can be enforced.
