Alright, enough of this. I've been eating crow all weekend, but come on, nobody can go back and watch the first 4 games and tell me that Hooker was a good passer without lying.

Heupel is working wonders with him just as he has every other QB. Hooker is getting better. And that's great.

He's never been as bad as you claimed, but Heupel has helped dial in his deep ball accuracy a ton.

Hypothetical here, moving forward TN plays an undefeated GA and Bama. You get to choose which team TN beats, but the other is guaranteed to win the Natty; which, team do you chose to beat? I pick GA
As much as I want to see a win against Alabama again, I think it would be better for Tennessee long term if they beat UGA this year...in your scenario. Beating Alabama right now doesn't hurt them much...just causes them some embarrassment, but they'll still recruit lights out and have a great team. Beat UGA, and the noise gets louder about Smart not being able to get them over the hump and the comparisons to Richt keep coming. UGA fans are absolutely expecting a National Championship, so taking that away also gets the fans grumbling. All of that would definitely hurt the perception of them and that would likely trickle down to recruiting. They would still recruit really well, but they probably would lose a couple of elite guys that wouldn't be as willing to go there if they expect to win a lot but not make it to the big game. Just my thoughts. If UGA gets the NC, then you're dealing with two Alabamas...so to speak. One is bad enough.

There is a mayo war going on in this thread right now and it is quite possibly the most important thing you will read all day today. Let me just state for the record, that the only choice of mayo for a Tennessee Vols fan, is JFG. It is made in our very own Knoxville, Tennessee. Anything else is blasphemy.

Some things I noticed Saturday.

1. We came into the game with a plan and followed the plan.
2. We have more "good" players than many thought.
3. We never let up or let down after getting a big lead.
4. It was one win but this coach and coaching staff seem to know what they are doing. Something that will take time for many of us to understand since we have not seen it in 20 years.

The bad games will come and many more wins will if given the chance. We need to enjoy this win as much as any. We need to understand that we have a coach now that has a system that has been proven to work. Lets let him get the players HE thinks he needs for his system and enjoy the ride.......this could be fun !!!!

South Carolina does have a better defense but after watching all of their games I think their defensive ranking can be misleading. They have gotten a lot of turnovers gifted to them through dumb fumbles and dropped catches that lead to interceptions. Teams like Troy and ECU were still able to drive down the field on them but would give the ball away in SC territory.

I’m not sure how good they are in pass coverage since Georgia was really the only team they played that can throw. But they are pretty bad against the run and our tempo should make it even harder for them. I honestly think we win if we score 20 and not lose the turnover battle.

Hellman’s is our poison. The wife’s even sneaking the lite version and it works. Mustard man on most items…just not tuna.
I tried Dukes about 20 years ago.......it was life changing. Come to think about I've been in this "Special" home for about 20 years........WAIT........ What Tha.......!!!!
