Imagine my dismay when I get my morning coffee and read posters actually dissing mayo. Then counter-protestors follow it with liking mayo, but also liking non-southern brands like Hellman's and Kraft. How ridiculous. It's always Duke's and Blue Plate. Period. I have no quarrel with anybody who picks one of those two, although Duke's is #1 in our home. The rest of you just lost your SEC Vol card until you repent.

If you have liked T-Evans, Alvin Kamara, and LT as RB's - say hello to RB commitment Dylan Sampson. This kid is blowing up and the smile on my face knowing he will wear orange in this system is huge. Our HC/staff locked on him early and it is going to pay big dividends. Oh - he's a 3* per the self proclaimed gurus and experts. Is he disqualified now?

Trust any staff that is comprised of innovators and sound football minds with good track records. Ours know what they are doing and are executing a plan that will work very well. They gave us the huge statement win at Mizzou. We will still have highs and lows for awhile until the roster is rebuilt and developed. However, there will be more highs than lows. All that is left for Heup/staff to prove up is the roster rebuild. I have confidence he will and relatively soon.
There are many communist among us. JFG is pretty good too.

I sense that many of you may have prematurely removed your cups. The last game was awesome on every level (being nit-picky, we need better metrics on 3rd down on both sides of the ball).

However, everyone needs to remember that we have 71 scholarship athletes, and we are paper thin at crucial positions.

What I think we can all agree on is that we like the trajectory, and the Xs and Os seem to be well above average (if not elite), we have a team of fighters and by god if they're not getting a little better every week.

But I would encourage you all to keep your cups in place...we've damn near 15 years worth of anectdotal evidence that for reasons known or unknown (or for no reason whatsoever) lady luck can turn a blind eye towards us.

Random thought.

Is there anything worse than hearing that elongated, gutteral caveman closing to a sentence of 'Roh Tahd'. It's very existence assumes a 95 IQ.

We have two un-winnable games going forward. Ole miss is a winnable game with the way our defense is playing. We have them at home and their defense is atrocious. Would love to see us beat Kiffin in year 1 under Heup. The heads of many Vol fans would explode because Heup beat their hero in year 1

I was aboard the Kiffin hype, but even if we don’t beat him I’m prepared to eat a healthy dose of crow.

Staff is keeping a promise made to him by the previous staff. The previous staff were idiots. You do a disservice to a kid playing him out of position IMO. Coaches should help a player find the position he's destined to have the most success at. If Cobb had stuck to QB, he'd never had made it to the NFL. I doubt Whitehead ever sees the NFL as a RB. Maybe he wouldn't as a LB either, but probably a better chance. It doesn't really help the team to sign a stud player and play him out of position where he's just not as good. Let them hit the portal if that's the case.

Or let him keep playing RB. He is up to 3rd string. Looked good running the ball. I don’t want anyone else to head to the portal. We don’t have enough players as it is…

All we have to do is win this weekend, which we will, and we will win 6 games. That's what most people predicted. Anything else on top is gravy.

We’ve now won 3 straight games vs Missouri and just tied the series at 5-5.

Saturday we have a chance to make it 3 straight vs South Carolina and really need to do so for the sake of recruiting and general perception. Tennessee leads the series 27-10-2.

The only other active SEC East streak is vs Vandy where we have won the last 2 games.

My cup is super glued in place! (which may have been a mistake in hindsight).
But yeah, I have a blast with the "what ifs" but need to see continued improvement and a good finish. Followed by staff security and oh yeah, - No catching a flight in the middle of the night for his dream job at Wilbur's tire college and hair care salon.

*Or other* if that happens not to be his 1st choice.

We are way better coached that is correct, but Too Too would be starting with Banks if he was still here. You are holding the coaching against Too and Crouch when they would be much better under this staff. We would be better with them but they left so IDGAF about then anymore. But we would be better with them.
Better PERFORMANCE is BETTER.

Lol. READ people. Lol. We are coached way better, And they play fast. But we are not as talented. If Too had stayed. He would be better coached and starting next to Banks. It’s not false to say we are less talented at the position but we are playing better and we are better coached.
COACHED BETTER so they’re BETTER.

Arkansas game will be hard fought. If we take care of South Carolina comfortably with minimal injuries I think we can be a trap game for Ole Miss.

Announce a night game with black jerseys and I’m calling for the upset. But we need to see if this team can play like this consistently first. Can’t look ahead too much
