If Hooker had started against Pitt, we are 3-1 and feeling better about our season Change my mind.

I don’t know but I had the same thought on Sunday after UF game. Had he been given the reins earlier in fall camp (I was pining for that), we beat Pitt IMO. But that’s hindsight, and hypotheticals and all.

Yo @Smyrna ATL Vol there's a QB in the portal. Name is Re-al Mitchell, hasn't played much at all. Signed with Iowa St., transferred to Temple, and now again.

Seems like the type of QB Heupel liked at UCF. 6'1 195. Apparently runs a 4.47. Tell me what you think.

I saw a highlight video on youtube and he moves like Kyler Murray lol.
Lol. Pass. We’re waiting on Rattler, Shroud, or Richardson!

it's not happening bro
If we can’t get a sure starter at QB, I’m fine with Hooker for another year. Then let Jackson redshirt to take over the following year. We would have to hope that Bailey or Milton stays to be backup. And then pray Hooker stays healthy all year.

He was on that QB1 show on Netflix, I remember thinking he was a pretty good kid. Struggled throwing the ball. He got replaced by the DJ kid that's at a Clemson now.

You can bring back one of these guys for this offense, just for the rest of this year. Who do you choose?

A) Kamara
B) Patterson
C) Jennings
D) Bray
E) Dobbs

Dobbs is my first choice because he is every bit the runner Hooker is, but has good accuracy including with his deep ball, which is what this offense is missing in a bad way.

Patterson is my number 2 because I think Hooker is good enough to run the offense (minus a great deep ball) and Heupel would find a ton of creative ways to get Patterson the ball in space. He is the most physically gifted athlete I've ever seen at Tennessee.

I would almost rather try to take Horn and sign two freshmen QBs. If they early enroll, I don’t see any reason why one couldn’t be the backup to Hooker next year. Then you have a QB battle the next season for starter.

I'm fine withe Hooker/Milton. Just figured I'd give a little background since I recognized the name.
Also, if it's not one of the guys already on the roster, I think it will be a Freshman. I'm not saying Heupel isn't trying/doesn't want to win, but with the security (mainly the rolling years) that Heupels contract provides him with I see him taking liberties and playing young guys a lot because he knows he really doesn't need to win to keep his job, right now.

We do them every year. Granted... middle of the season is kind of weird. I have no idea how serious they are. I would imagine it's a bunch of delusional frat guys but who knows.

Actually smart to do 'em before Spring Camp imo. If ya identify some solid prospects they can be on the team in Spring and go through a full off-season.

Five players with disappointing seasons so far

Eric Gray
RB, Oklahoma

When Gray chose to transfer to Oklahoma out of Tennessee a lot of people (including myself) thought that he would thrive in Lincoln Riley's wide-open offense and keep the run game strong. But Gray's struggles are a microcosm of the larger issues facing that offense in general, and the former four-star prospect has not been able to get going at all, rushing for only 223 yards and zero TDs on the season.

This what happens when you try to juke 46 times before passing the line of scrimmage.
