It’s going to come down to matchups, but the offense is gonna have to score at least 4 rpg. I’ll ride with Charlie, Max, and to a lesser extent Ian, against anybody, but we’re not going to be throwing up a bunch of shutouts and the pen is too leaky to be counted on for 2-3 scoreless innings every game.If Max and Chuck post like that in the playoffs and Ian is right we will be hard to beat with the power we have. 1-8 can go deep at any time in the lineup. Matzek/Jackson have been lights out. There’s worse options than Martin/Minter/Dick-Rod for the middle innings. Will Smith is scary, but I think this team can make some noise in October even without Ronnie.

Burnes and woodruff? HaI think 4 is a good number. Milwaukee’s starters in Byrnes/Woodward/Peralta awesome (hell the other three in Lauer/Houser/Anderson is solid). It’s gonna be tough but their offense can really go through dry spells and nobody really scares you since Yelich has lost his superstar ability. We need to work counts and get to their bullpen. They strike guys out for sure but can give up home runs.
You have to wonder what position we would be in if Acuna didn’t go down. I doubt AA would have been as aggressive seeking bats. Maybe he would have tried to find some arms? Either way, I’m glad we got the pieces we did. Even though the team doesn’t hug anymore.
